Breathlessness

Has anyone experienced being really breathless? Even just sitting it’s like you’re trying to take deep breaths?
I rang maternity triage cause I don’t remember having this in any of my previous pregnancies, I know I’m growing so that could be part of it! But they just told me to go to urgent care if I was struggling, but I was more worried about it being a sign of preeclampsia. Not sure what’s best to do!

i’ve been extremely short of breath even when just sitting, i went triage because im at risk of preterm labour and they noticed this and reffered me for an xray and a VQ scan and bloods so they’ve taken it quite seriously! if your concerned just express this to them! from the bloods i’ve already found out i have hypothyroidism so defo worth just having the checks done! 🫶🏼

Thanks Shauna. I might go up to urgent care then just to be safe. They didn’t seem interested when I rang Triage x

Yeah had the same am 38 weeks and a lot bigger than I was with my first. I get the breathing issues when am lying down and sometimes when am feeling anxious. I agree with the ladies its always worth going to triage xxx

The baby has just moved up into your ribs so could be that? I find like only 10% of the time I can breathe easily 😅 but when im stretched out to give my lungs more space im ok

Bang on 40 weeks and starting to feel it🥲

Today is my due date and really thought he would come early as my daughter came on her due date. I don’t know how many times I can deep clean the house, wash my hair and attempt to shave despite being unable to see my toes😅 I am really struggling with the not knowing when it’ll happen/worrying it won’t happen naturally. I think having a 2 year old changes things massively!! Has anyone had a sweep 40 weeks and been successful🫶🏼

First time mom

Heyyy ! First time mom here! Due December 9 so slowly but surely the time is coming for baby girls arrival. For the moms who had babies, when did you start prepping your body for delivery? I started do my stretches and getting things ready to soften my cervix. I’m stressing out about it since her dad has been missing since I told him I was pregnant.

Telling first baby about second!

Right I need some advice/opinions!
My first daughter is nearly 4 and is desperate for a “real baby” and it’s all she talks about!
Myself and her dad were actually trying for another anyway and have recently found out we are expecting number 2 (only 5 weeks)
When are we telling the first born? She has just asked me if there is a baby in my tummy as I was putting her to bed and I just answered with “maybe one day” 🤣 but not sure how long I can wait!
We originally said we would wait until 12 weeks but feel like she’s going to catch on before then as already sick and very tired!
Note to add - as soon as she finds out everyone in the supermarket will know 🤣🤣

*Citalopram*

Hi everyone, I’ve taken citalopram 20mg throughout my pregnancy and I’m due to give birth this week. I’m aware that they will want to keep baby in for monitoring afterwards for any withdrawal/adaptation symptoms (it feels awful even saying that 😢).

Has anyone else taken citalopram throughout their pregnancy? How was your baby after birth, and how long did you have to stay in hospital for monitoring?

I’d really appreciate hearing other people’s experiences as I’m feeling quite anxious about it. ❤️ (I did come off it during my second trimester but it was decided I was better off taking it).

Sending a message to announce your baby being born only for the message to be “❤️” and no response other than that - how would you feel?

This was to a person who is family but I’ve just gotten to know in the last few weeks. So I’ve never had them in my life untill that past month. She’s been asking is the baby here every few days and I seen her the day before at a family gathering. So I was excited to tell her that I finally had the baby only to get no response or than she hearted the message. How would that make you feel? It made me so mad and disappointed
