I just recently found out I'm pregnant unexpectedly. I'm slight excited but also am pretty nervous and hesitant about this. To give an idea on situation..
My daughter is 4. Her dad and I split up for about a year, still Coparented and were involved in each others lives. We decided to get back together and try again as the break happened due to kind of weird circumstances between us.. His dad was super sick and took all of his time and he left me hanging for a long time with the baby/post partum.
Anyways, so it's been a short time we've been back together now and suprise, apparently pregnant.
I have so many thoughts in my head.. Financially I'm stressed about it, just practicality about a baby in our 'new' situation so to speak.
And my daughter and I are VERY close. She is mine, my bestie, wants me for almost everything, like we just are everything together to each other.. And I'm stressed about bringing a baby into our lives and rocking that dynamic. I don't want her and I to change what we have because it's so special and beautiful.
Do I think it would change yes, as drastic as maybe I'm imagining.. No.
I know, being a second though, same with my partner. That sometimes the first can feel forgotten in the busyness of a new baby and the second can be forgotten in the dynamic of a parent first kid bond. We've seen it and heard it from/with siblings all our lives.
I need some help making my brain make sense.. What's your situation with two, how much did it change, iv heard one is one and two is twenty and that scares me.
I also just got a new position at work which stresses me out to leave that in a handful of months. I had wicked post partum also which makes me nervous but the relationship with my daughter changing.. That scares me more.
Help. Tell me what it was like if u were someone who maybe had similar thoughts. 🙏 Thanks in advance mamas

A lot of the thoughts you are having are completly normal and valid. I had similar concerns when I found out I was pregnant with my second. You brought up a lot of negative points. I think its important to think about some of the positive things that come with this baby and pregnancy. Not only can this baby have just as great of a bond with you as your first but imagine they also have that bond with each other! Watching my daughter play with my son and take care of him is one of the most special things ive experienced on this planet. Circumstances will never be perfect and are rarely ideal but you have been given another blessing if you chose to see it that way. Congratulations, wishing you best of luck!
So, I had two previous children before meeting my partner and didnt want more children. I raised them basically on my own whilst working. I met my now fiance who is amazing and we decided we wanted a 3rd. I however said if I was to have another baby now I want to enjoy it and be able to focus on being a mum and not juggling too many things like work aswell as I had a busy job. My partner is more then happy to support us as a family and is amazing. Im not 17 weeks and left my job just before the summer holidays as we were moving anyway and it just felt like the right time as I worked term time.
The amount of people the are gobsmacked when I tell them im not working now im focusing on my baby and my older kids and being the home maker.
Like the look of confusion!
What's wrong with mums being mums and not carrying a million things at once?
Especially since my fiance is happy to look after us all financially.
Im a modern woman ive juggled ive done it all independently but whats actually wrong with traditional roles too these days.
It's making me feel subconsciously guilty. 🤔

It's been 3 and a half months.. he says he still fancies me and smacks my butt and grabs my boobs but says there is just nothing going on down there.. he's said it's his antidepressants and it happens sometimes but we used to have sex constantly.. I'm just worried he's gone off me cause of the baby... Has this happened to anyone else?

I’m wanting to open a savings account for my little girl and was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for what’s best? I’ve done some research and have an idea of what I might go for but there may be people on here more wise with these things, who may have good tips so just want to double check before I commit to anything 😅 TIA x

Help!! I feel like such a loser. I have like no friends and just hang out at home with my kids and husband all the time. He is my best friend. But I also want girl friends to hang out with. He goes and hangs with his guy friends and I just stay home. He asked why I never go anywhere and I told him I have no friends and no idea how to even make friends. So help! How do you make friends these days?!
