Hiya, just looking for some other mums going through the same thing or anyone who can offer support. My little one is 3 months old and has been combi fed, initially I tried to exclusively breast feed but ended up in hospital for a week which meant combi worked best. My supply has dropped massively due to combi feeding and my little one will have both breast and then need bottle to get full. I pumped for 20 minutes and only produced an ounce. She is thriving with formula but I feel like I have failed her if I give up due to the emphasis put on breast feeding. I have no issues with formula and just want a healthy happy baby but can't help feel like I'm letting her down if I stop as I'm the only one who can provide her with breast milk. I don't want to give up for selfish reasons but it's such hard work. Just want to hear if anyone has felt the same and if they felt better once they stopped breast feeding ?

Similar experience but my supply increased again after pumping straight after the feed, I know it probably sounds counterproductive. See if that works after you do it for 48hours. It's almost as if doing this tricks the body to produce more.
On the other hand Once you see how much your little one is thriving from formula alone, feelings of heavy guilt should lift. As long as she's, happy, healthy and growing, you've done the best you can do.

Can’t comment on the breast feeding side because I ended up choosing to formula feed when I struggled with LO getting anything from me at the hospital even with the midwives helping. In the end I didn’t want the stress so chose to formula feed and have a happy thriving baby, I don’t feel I’ve failed him one bit, I did what worked for him and me so defo don’t feel like you’re failing if you choose to stop breast feeding 💙💙

I struggled to get him to latch from day one so I pumped to achieve combi feeding. That lasted for 3 weeks as he ended up in a 45 minute sleep cycle and wanted feeding every time so I couldn’t keep up with it and my supply reduced. I decided to pause and during that time I realised how much stress it was actually causing trying to combi feed so I just never went back to it. I did feel guilty initially but that soon faded after realising he is not phased one bit by what milk he’s getting as long as he gets it in 0.0001 seconds! To get to 3 months is amazing so big yourself up!

I combi fed for 7 weeks, my baby struggled to latch no matter what support I got. It was taking its toll on me mentally, giving boob but then immediately needing to top up with a bottle so I decided to stop. It really upset me at the time but it soon passes. You’ve done amazing to get this far, it’s not an easy journey so give yourself all the credit 🫶🏻
Just want to get everyone's opinions on jabs for their babies. I would never personally attack someone for their decision but I find whenever I post about this topic I always get personally attacked for having a different perspective. For reference, we as a family don't have them through personal choice, and children are thriving and hardly ever get sick!

Is anyone else the other side of the 4 month regression? Looking for some light at the end of the tunnel! I genuinely don’t know how much more I can take hourly/45 minutes waking and my partner works 13 hour days and no family to come over so I can rest at all :( my LO also has terrible reflux which makes settling him to bed a long process too. I feel so sad and exhausted all the time and just want to run away!

Hello!
Has anyone looked into whether or not it is safe to use weight loss medication whilst breastfeeding? I only breastfeed 10:30pm-5am as she is on cows milk in the day.
I cannot seem to shift weight, I think I’m exhausted, sleep deprived and probably not eating the best.

My little girl is almost 14 weeks old and the last few nights has been such a struggle to get her down for bed. We have a little routine going and I thought it was working. Until a few nights ago where no matter what I do she won’t sleep longer than about 5 minutes in her bedside crib. It takes me about 8/9 attempts before she actually falls asleep and stays asleep. Any advice on what I could do to make the process smoother or any idea of what could be causing her to continuously wake up?
