What skills does your baby have at 12-14 months old?

My baby is 13 months old and I’ve been noticing some developmental delays lately. She does not pull up to stand/no walking. We’ve been going to PT for a few months now, they taught her how to crawl but she really resists standing up on her feet. Her Dr. says “just keep practicing and doing PT”. I enrolled her in a baby development program with my state too, we’ll take her to an OT evaluation as well, but all the Drs we went to say they don’t see a physical issue. When I check with baby development questionnaires, it seems like babies her age should be doing a lot of things she doesn’t do quite yet, so I wanted to see what’s the average skill level of a 1 yo and how realistic those tests are?
Does your baby pull up to stand/walk? Say 3 words consciously? Point at objects they specifically want? Put items in a box/basket? Bring an object when you ask them? Nod yes/no? Throw a ball? Give you an item when you ask? Stack objects on top of each other (e.g. cubes, pyramid toys, etc.)? Feed themselves finger foods?
And yes I know that all babies develop at their own pace and there is a range of what’s normal. Thank you, fellow moms!

My 13 month old is walking while my 13 month old nephew just learned to crawl.
He says words on purpose. Shakes his head no. Doesn’t really put objects in a container, more loves the mess. He shares objects back and forth. Does not stack. Throws balls and blocks.
We are in feeding therapy for solids, but that’s been improving. He sees an OT for that.

Self feeds
Drinks from straws
And will hand me items when I ask unless he’s playing the game of “chase me if you want it”

In law anxiety

I’m a FTM and since my LO was born (he’s 10 weeks currently) my MIL has insisted that she wants to spend the night with him, and keeps saying ‘you can leave him with me, just give me some bottles’. I’m no longer expressing and only direct BF and I have also told her that I am not comfortable yet with my baby spending the night away from me. I have also told her I am no longer expressing so that wouldn’t be an option anyway. I just can’t seem to wrap my head around why she would assume I would be comfortable being away from my baby so soon. Its giving me anxiety that if and when I decide to wean my baby that she will expect me to be okay with this and I still don’t think i’ll be comfortable with this in the future. Has anyone else experienced this?

Working Mums - Help!

I work 3 days a week, in which my daughter goes to nursery. My partner leaves for work at 5am, so the whole process of getting up, ready and out the house is all on me. I only have a 15 month old but i’m struggling so much to be able to get myself ready and keep her distracted. How are we all managing this?

She’s into everything and in that stage where I can’t take my eyes off her, which makes it even impossible to brush my teeth.

She’s not predictable with her wakes, especially at the min as we’re going through an awful sleep regression, some days she wakes at 4am others 6am so trying to get up and ready before her isn’t really possible.

I don’t allow a lot of screen time and because of this she doesn’t really sit in front of the tv as i’ve tried this also.

Any help appreciated 😅

High chair recommendations

What highchair would you recommend? I don’t want to do ikea as don’t want to buy the extra parts. I want it to be easy wipe clean. My baby is 5 months old

Collecting colostrum

I’m 37 weeks and have been advised by the midwife to collect colostrum if I can - I’m only managing to collect a few droplets if that, is there anything I can do to help produce more?

Also can I express at night leave in the fridge then express throughout the next day (not going over 24 hours) then freeze safely?

Colostrum

Ive been trying hand expression and its just not been working for me so when I saw my midwife consultant last time I asked about using a hand held pump to harvest and she cleared me and said I could. So I have done this tonight and for first time this is how much I got for both which im happy with! Although it seemed to not be tight on one and it leaked all down my boob😭

Can someone please tell me why its this colour? Is it due to it being the first proper collection ive done?

Burping

I am struggling to burp my LO after breastfeeding and as soon as I put him down to sleep he will start to twist and cry but whatever I do I just can’t get it up. Is there anything else I could try to help get him to burp?
