Baby boy finally arrived at 42 weeks, homebirth and 10lbs 10oz! 🤯

Finally after a veryyyy long pregnancy; due date was September 1st and baby didn’t come till September 15th! Contractions started at 10:50pm after my husband and almost 3 year old daughter went to sleep. Contractions were 2 mins apart from the start and water immediately broke after 4 or 5 contractions. I let my midwives and Doula know to come and woke up my husband. Baby was born at 1:47am in the birth pool on our back porch. My body completely took over and pushed him out on its own with FER! It was amazing. Under 3 hour labor and it felt so easy compared to my first. I was blown away to find out he was 10lbs 10oz! And I didn’t have any tears or need any stitches! My absolute dream birth. He was so worth the wait ❤️

How are people relaxing

So I had a midwife appointment today and she told me off for slouching when I was waiting in the waiting room which I know doesn’t help with baby’s engagement however how else am I supposed to relax, sitting upwards forward and open isn’t comfortable all day and I keep finding myself going back to bed to lay down. I’m only 34 weeks and this is my third baby - my second didn’t even engage until birth! Any tips or advice to help babys engagement but also relax and be comfortable

Feeling alone

My partner is great, but he doesn’t show as much concern about when she’s sick or has a vaccine etc. He’s only ever saying she’s fine, she’ll be fine stop worrying.

I don’t think he realises how much I worry as a ftm just because I’m attached to her and quite obsessed with her coz she so damn cute 😂 and I’m the primary parent in the sense that I’m with her 24/7 while he goes to work.

I feel like it’s wrong for me to worry somehow like I’m being dramatic and it’s really isolating sometimes because I’m just told it’s nothing stop worrying. When I tell him how I feel that I’m scared to go for her vaccinations or I’m worried about her getting sick or something happens I feel like he diminishes it.

Can anyone relate?

Accepting your body

Has anyone at any point felt weird or disgusted or annoyed with their body/ belly during pregnancy.. coming from someone who has typically always had a flat ish tummy
