Do you have these kind of days ?

I’ve been scrolling through my gallery and got so nostalgic.
I have a pretty baby girl that’s 10 months , a good partner and an upcoming wedding. We moved to live close to the beach because it was my childhood dream , we are still trying to travel even though it’s different now and I don’t have to worry about finances and etc .
However, I constantly find myself grieving my old life . I looked at the pictures and I’m so happy there and I miss it but then I’m trying to remember if I was really happy at that time and no I was very very sad partying and traveling too much just to escape loneliness and reality.
I got pregnant when we were together with my partner not the full 2 years and I miss the moments when we were just 2 of us . Hugging and enjoying company of each other. We are still trying to have dates , kisses and hugs etc but it feels completely different.
Sometimes I feel like I’m missing baby”s moments because I’m still in my imaginary life that was or maybe wasn’t before the baby .
All my friends are without kids and seeing them so free and independent makes me question everything 🤦🏻‍♀️
We have fights sometimes with my partner because of that , but at the same time we have 11 years difference and I think I can be having my own crises . He already went through them and telling me just to relax and not to take everything so personal- is a little weird because come on man , you lived your life and were not even thinking to have a baby at my age so yes I can be sad sometimes and miss parties or whatever. Maybe it’s also because we had a lot of fights after my PP that’ I suppose somehow effected our relationship .
Everything is good but my brain is always jumping to conclusions that gonna lead me to believe otherwise…. Like a survival mode , thinking that everything cannot be good true

Ok so I understand how you are feeling. I would say don't lose yourself in motherhood. You can still be a version of yourself before baby. This version will be a new you. You can enjoy motherhood but also have a part that is just you and not about being a mom. Think about what you like to do for fun, what hobbies and interests do you have? 11yrs can be a huge difference, especially if you weren't planning to have a baby yet. If you truly have a good relationship with your partner, don't mess it up because you're over thinking things. But before you take the leap to get married make sure you have all of the necessary and important conversations about EVERYTHING. You don't want to be blind sided later because you just didn't ask or assumed. Overall Don't forget about you, think about who you want to be.

I really feel this 🤍 You can love your life now and still miss your old one. Looking back at photos can make everything seem so perfect, even when you know you weren’t actually happy at the time.
And I totally get missing the “just us” days. Having a baby changes your relationship so much, and dates, hugs and kisses just feel different now. Comparing yourself to friends without kids probably makes it even harder too.
You’re allowed to miss partying, travelling and being carefree without it meaning you don’t appreciate your life now. You’re still young and figuring yourself out, and becoming a mum doesn’t mean that part of you disappears 🥺🤍

Grief is growth. Reflection is growth. It's okay.

Why do we have to stop fun now that we’re mums? Or turning 30. Or 40. Or 50. Your life is as boring or fun as you make it. I still go expos, festivals, concerts, events. My gfs and I went clubbing 2w ago, it was 90’s themed RnB so we were singing and dancing all the old music I grew up with. We can still see friends, have hobbies. I don’t miss my old life coz my life now still has plenty of fun. I took up salsa/bachata as a 36yr old 😅 that was 3yrs ago, I go salsa dancing every Friday and prance out in my dress and heels. Is there a hobby you wanna continue? Or something been you wanna try? I STILL have heels class and pole fitness on my bucket list, who knows when I’ll be able to fit that in to my already busy schedule. We are mums but doesn’t mean we have to dedicate our whole existence to being a Mum. I like being myself sometimes. I go to a Halloween salsa event every year. Go out let your hair down have some fun mama.

Looking for a talkative relatable friend

Hi there ✨ im looking for a good friend to relate to, someone to talk to everyday if possible throughout the day about whatever; emotional support, plans, jokes, advice, memes it doesn’t matter.
Non judgmental and just some company. Getting together can be hard, even for me. Just having some company even through texts can make a big difference for myself, especially with mental health.
Something genuine and fun in a friendship.
Im very open minded, 4/20 friendly, raver, I like pretty much anything honestly. I have a little girl just born July 23rd, she’ll be 2 months old this month. Im home all the time right now snd post partum can be a l3itch and a half too.
If you have an iPhone we can play games back and forth too, it’s funny sometimes 💖
Taking applications now 😭🤧 lol

Is your family struggling money wise or no?

We are really comfortable money… wise far from rich but if an emergency came up we could take care of it and we can do what we what when we want without worrying or budgeting. In the media it seems people are struggling but at my job and at my husbands job its like its not as bad as the media is trying to make it seem. Has anyone else felt this or noticed this?

NYC Anyone?

There are so many people here, but its still so lonely. I want to make friends, but I feel like in my neighborhood its really impossible if you don't fit the mold. I live on the UES, but I am by no means rich. My husband and I went from dual to single income. The women in my community talk about nannys, private schools, and plastic surgery. I never had friends here to begin with, so now that I'm becoming a Mom I understand how even more isolating it is.

I'll be honest, I'm a hermit. When I don't have someone to go places with, I very rarely leave my apartment. Would anybody in this group like to do both? Apartment/netflix and chill + go on a walk along the river or go to the park?

Being 32 weeks has made even smaller errands feel immobilizing.

I'll make tea. I'll even spill the tea! I'm also a great listener. If there's someone a few months behind me in their pregnancy I'd even love to pass down my baby items as they become available to another Mom looking to save money.

I could really use some advice from other people who went through difficult mental stressers while pregnant, encouragement, and some in-person friendship. I believe in God, and am spiritual. If we have that in common thats awesome, but I'll never try to push it on you.

I am scared to meet people, but figure this is worth a try.

Sorry if this comes off as desperate.

Advice

So in my relationship for about 6 years now lots of ups and downs and not looking for divorce just curious if all men are like this or just mine his love language is sex not physical affection just like sex yk and I’ve had a rough relationship with sex and he knows I have problems when it comes to arguing just consistently pushing will get me to agree cause I’m over it and just always asking for it but wants me to surprise him with sex or saying the main reason he does stuff for me is to increase the chances of sex or when I say no I’m not feeling well I have a chronic illness and I’m 7 months pregnant and he thought he would get laid more cause I said maybe I would have a higher libido but he takes it as a promise I’m just venting at this point but that’s how it’s been and says he regrets another kid because of my low libido and mostly married me when I had a higher one and it makes me not want any more kids with him and makes me feel really depressed is all men like this
