I saw a dermatologist for it while I was pregnant. It made next to no difference. I forget what he prescribed me. I just had to ride it out.

Keep it simple. Unfortunately it is due to all the hormonal changes but it does get better!

I’ll be honest with you… when it comes to hormonal acne it’s challenging regardless of a skincare routine because it’s not a topical skin issue.

Products in my professional experience that has been able to work on hormonal acne is a retinoid. You can try over the counter retinol or see a dr if it’s that bad about a prescription which will be stronger. Still over the counter isn’t always a guarantee because it’s your body.

Avoid doing too much to the skin to impact the barrier. Cleanse both AM and PM ideally with a gel cleanser, make sure your skin is well hydrated and wear SPF daily.

Also, not advising you to do this just telling you what I’ve been told, some people go on contraception to help manage hormones so it can help their acne. I’ve heard the patch is quite good for this.
