If you’ve had a VBAC, how did it go? Did you go into labour naturally or were you induced? My first was a failed induction at 37 weeks +3, i’d rather not be induced again but, wondering what the chances are of me actually going into spontaneous labour by 39 weeks and avoiding another induction😬 I would rather a planned c-section over another emergency one, but it’s my last baby so a VBAC is tempting!

Why would you need to be induced by 39w? Im stuck between a vbac or another elcs, personally knowing the statistics on induction to section if i was told an induction was medically necessary i would just opt for a elcs x

Hi Mel! I did an unmedicated VBAC with my second (and last) as well. After placenta previa c-section at 37+3 with my first. My VBAC was at 41 weeks (spontaneous labour). Why is 39 weeks the cutoff? Most women actually don’t go into labour by 39 weeks.
Hi ladies - how are u taking care of your c section scar and numbness ? 10 weeks pp and trying to figure out best ways to manage it .
Also exploring a belt to help with back ache and mummy tummy .

Sorry in advance for the long post, but wondering if anyone has experienced the same…
I woke up Saturday evening/Sunday morning with unbearable, constant throbbing across my back deep into my ribs. This spread across the front of my ribs and the constant dull ache made me feel like I was going to be sick. It more feels like something behind/beneath my ribs rather than my ribs themselves.
Called triage and got asked to come in to the maternity assessment unit, baby was fine and all my obs came back fine also. Nurse was unsure what was causing it so we waited for the dr.
Dr said she suspected trapped wind and severe heartburn, gave me some omeprazole and an anti nausea tablet and sent me on my way. Luckily pain had eased by the time I got home so could make to fall asleep after being awake all night.
Two nights later the exact same pan started again, but omeprazole didn’t help at all - was just up all night in pain.
Had my midwife apt this morning and she says she’s not sure what it is either, but doesn’t think it’s trapped wind or heartburn - I said I agreed as have been passing gas fine, regular bowel movements etc. have had some heart but the past few weeks but nothing gaviscon hasn’t helped.
She’s told me the next time it happens to come back in, even if baby is fine during the episode, I’m clearly not if I’m unable to sleep through it.
She’s ruled out pre-eclampsia, was just wondering if anyone has ever had anything similar in their pregnancy and what the issue was/what helped ease it? Really hoping it doesn’t happen again as it’s exhausting me and is quite painful!
