Help…Normal tantrum or something more?

My daughter is having the worst meltdowns recently. I’m talking to the point where people are starting to stop outside my house and looking in with concern. The anxiety and humiliation leaving the house sometimes is exhausting. Kicking and screaming at the top of her voice in public and having everyone in the street looking at me, is a different kind of embarrassment and guilt. I’ve had a few conversations recently with various people about seeing someone professional about mt daughter’s behaviour. She’s also started using noises and moans to gesture what she wants, coming from an incredibly smart 3 year old who has been speaking full sentences since she was two. We have regressed in verbal communication, and the meltdowns are getting so horrifically bad. She also tugs at her clothes when distressed or pulls on her fingers. There is absolutely ZERO reasoning with her when she is like this, it’s just constant screaming. I’m a first time mum and just at a complete loss.

take her to a professional to have her evaluated.. she could be having pain & can't communicate it... some kids need tubes in their ears; if otherwise healthy maybe a lifestyle change is triggering it.

have to tried to hold her to calm her down? (i'm sorry, the door is killing me, cause even in my frustration I'd want to see my girl)

defo will be taking her to be evaluated, thank you.

Also just want to add, I didn’t close the door on her 😂😅 she stormed off and slammed the door behind her. I figured it was best to have a little video evidence of how she’s been recently without pointing the camera in her face. Xx

If you were to open the door and give her whatever it was she was tantruming about, what would happen?

it honestly varies. More often than not though, she just calms down. Again though, door was only closed for about 20 seconds, she usually runs off to have her tantrum and won’t want me anywhere near her.

My son was like this at that age. He’s very deep feeling. He too was also an early speaker and then had a regression. I was told not to worry by health visitor. He’s six now and doing very well, still a very deep feeler though and prone to emotional outbursts.
I remember being on the other side of the slammed door so many times. I let him know I was there when he was ready for me and accepted him with open arms when he did eventually.
You are doing amazing, if you feel going for an evaluation would help then go for it. Sometimes if nothing else they will help you with coping strategies.

If it’s 50/50 is that a cause for concern? Her “minor tantrums” or ger just acting out a little usually end ok, but her what I would deem her “meltdowns” there’s no calming her down even if she gets what she wants, these happen atleast 1-2 times a day. X

thank you for taking the time to explain… I’ll obviously be seeking some GP advice also, but after bottling up so much mum guilt and anger, I just needed any and all advice after an overwhelming day. X

Is it ok to let a newborn (2weeks) sleep if already past birth weight or wake to feed ?

No hate for having a sleepy baby please my first was an awful sleeper so I know how triggering these posts can be 😂… but

My 2 week old slept for almost 6hours last night and we woke him even though he seemed pretty tired and would have slept longer. He’s been a sleepy baby since birth but feeds a lot throughout the day and has surpassed his birth weight but my husband woke me last night to say we need to wake the baby to feed. I said I’d get up and pump and let the baby sleep but he said we shouldn’t let him go over 6 hours without a feed….

Should we wake him? Thoughts below please :)

I am only 12 weeks but I fell like ive lost my patience with my 15 month old, all day long im just constantly telling her off for hitting the tv, climbing on the back of the sofa to get to the window, throwing things at the cat and laughing. Im not enjoying being with her and that sounds horrible 😢

Im not enjoying my pregnancy in the first place and feeling exhausted everyday aswel cause my daughter is sleeping in our bed every night as she cries the moment i get near her cot 😢

Breast feeding

I’m expecting in a few months time and want to breast feed (breast and bottle feed). What bottles do you recommend? I formula fed my first daughter and used Dr brown bottles (hated Tommee Tippee and MAM due to tongue tie issues). Is Philips Avent good or Lansinoh? Thank you ☺️
