8th of May baby and thought we were over the worst with night time sleep then last night he was awake every hour 🫣 completely humbled!! My daughter who is now 3 slept through from 8 weeks and I really don't remember any regression with night time sleep, just her naps. But my son is a whole different ball game šŸ˜… we're 5 weeks into the regression and really thought we were coming out the other side!

Both my girls early may, one 2020 and other 2026. We’ve started doing naps in the cot during the day after constant contact naps. She’s started napping longer and we’ve had x2 nights of 7-7 with no feeds. She’s very predictable with her naps now, I tend to watch for ques rather then awake windows x

3 naps a day, morning about an hour, dinner time 1.5-2 hours, and afternoon 45 minutes. She’s started napping will have a little 15-20 minute cat nap if needed too later on. Usually in bed by 07:30pm. Try the morning nap in the cot first you might be surprised, I don’t do the cry out method. I stay with her and pat her if needed too later most of the time she just stares for a minute or two then goes to sleep. They just need practice. She will also sleep in the car or when we’re out too so not always tied to being at home x

I found with my first once they go to 3 naps and the wake windows get longer the naps start getting longer and your day gets more routine !

I wouldn’t worry too much about cot naps at this age unless you particularly want to! My eldest never slept well until he was about 1 (but better than this don’t worry I just mean didn’t like cot naps etc) and he is an amazing independent sleeper now at 2.5 and friends who did the cot naps thing early have awful sleepers so I don’t think there’s much rhyme or reason- just depends on the child!

Is it ok to let a newborn (2weeks) sleep if already past birth weight or wake to feed ?

No hate for having a sleepy baby please my first was an awful sleeper so I know how triggering these posts can be šŸ˜‚ā€¦ but

My 2 week old slept for almost 6hours last night and we woke him even though he seemed pretty tired and would have slept longer. He’s been a sleepy baby since birth but feeds a lot throughout the day and has surpassed his birth weight but my husband woke me last night to say we need to wake the baby to feed. I said I’d get up and pump and let the baby sleep but he said we shouldn’t let him go over 6 hours without a feed….

Should we wake him? Thoughts below please :)

Ive lost my patience

I am only 12 weeks but I fell like ive lost my patience with my 15 month old, all day long im just constantly telling her off for hitting the tv, climbing on the back of the sofa to get to the window, throwing things at the cat and laughing. Im not enjoying being with her and that sounds horrible 😢

Im not enjoying my pregnancy in the first place and feeling exhausted everyday aswel cause my daughter is sleeping in our bed every night as she cries the moment i get near her cot 😢

Im just feeling lost

Help…Normal tantrum or something more?

My daughter is having the worst meltdowns recently. I’m talking to the point where people are starting to stop outside my house and looking in with concern. The anxiety and humiliation leaving the house sometimes is exhausting. Kicking and screaming at the top of her voice in public and having everyone in the street looking at me, is a different kind of embarrassment and guilt. I’ve had a few conversations recently with various people about seeing someone professional about mt daughter’s behaviour. She’s also started using noises and moans to gesture what she wants, coming from an incredibly smart 3 year old who has been speaking full sentences since she was two. We have regressed in verbal communication, and the meltdowns are getting so horrifically bad. She also tugs at her clothes when distressed or pulls on her fingers. There is absolutely ZERO reasoning with her when she is like this, it’s just constant screaming. I’m a first time mum and just at a complete loss.

Breast feeding

I’m expecting in a few months time and want to breast feed (breast and bottle feed). What bottles do you recommend? I formula fed my first daughter and used Dr brown bottles (hated Tommee Tippee and MAM due to tongue tie issues). Is Philips Avent good or Lansinoh? Thank you ā˜ŗļø
