I’m not looking for advice I think I just want to not feel so alone. I’m 7 months in, my baby doesn’t sleep. I’m lucky if I get 3 consecutive hours. I breastfeed and baby only settles when on the boob. He’s grown out of his crib, won’t sleep in his cot, will only sleep on me or in my bed. Day time naps are a complete guess. Some days I’ll get 3 naps all around an hour. Other days I’m lucky if I get one 20 minute nap. This feels so much harder than the newborn days. I am so tired. I love my baby more than anything in the world and don’t want to be away from him for even a second but I would just love to have some sleep and/or a structure to the day.

I would reccomend looking into safe cosleeping my first was the same as soon as we coslept at night he slept through the night same with naps during the day..
My 2nd came straight into my bed and she just latches when she wants the boob during the night i bearly have to wake up
Hope you find a solution soon... no sleep is no joke 😴 wishing you some well deserved sleep soon !

Heyyyy Hannah I'm a sleep coach if you're interested we could hop on a free connection call to see if I can support you! I'll send you a dm. I support women who breastfeed and cosleep get longer stretches without the use of any sleep training whatsoever. This isn't sleep training. 🤍

oh i’m sorry! that sounds so hard🥺 my biggest tip is for you to decide a routine that you’re happy with and do your best. that’s what i did and although it took a little while to stick it did work! i decided what time we woke up each day (for example 7), if she woke before that then we kept the room quiet and dark, cuddles and calm voices then when 7 hits, curtains open and happy smiles good morning baby! when you decide his nap times are, for half an hour before them wind down, calm cuddles, baby massage and reading and nap time as dark as you can make it and no talking just shushing. if he goes to sleep then amazing! if he doesn’t keep it dark, still no or very little calm talking and when nap time is over, curtains open and smiles and playtime! it is very hard but soon the routine settles and it’ll become natural. i think the contact sleep is probably your hardest part and for that i dont have much advice except google safe 7 so you can be safe and just cosleep a while xx

I’m 8 months in!! We coslept from 4 months as I was so sleep deprived and was adamant I would only do it for a week or so so that I could catch up on sleep but up until last week we were still cosleeping 🤣 My girl is breastfed too and if she’s tired enough will settle with being rocked by me or my husband but the problem is putting her into the cot. We did playtime in the cot for weeks before we started putting her in to get her used to it.
We’ve started off by doing the first part of the night in her cot and then bringing her in with us when I get really tired but I mean I’m already on 5 wake ups and it’s not even midnight but I’m being persistent! As for naps, we’re in the middle of going from 3 naps to 2 naps so they’re very much a miss right now and all either contact naps, in the car or in the pram. I also agree with you that this feels harder than the newborn days 🙁

I breastfed too and my first born is 3 now and still wakes up few times a night, she was worse when she was on the boob. It does get better. You aren’t alone! You’re doing great looking after a little one with less sleep. It’s tough not being able to sleep and raise them as it is. You got this mama!

Hey my boy is 5 months and I’m dealing with exactly the same! Honestly omg thought I wrote this reading this 👀 you’re not alone and I feel you!! I currently am running on nothing, it’s super tough but really hoping it won’t be for long and we’ll get through to the other side!! Here if you need a chat x

You're not alone!! My little girl is 6 months and breastfed, daytime naps are different every day and at night she wakes every 2 hours for feed and this last week she's had a regression and will only contact sleep or cosleep and if i try and put her in to her next to me she wakes within 10 minutes. I'm exhausted and just try to remind myself this isn't forever and she will get better again.

My baby is 9 months old and is similar. He takes bottle, but after hes had enough of that he will only settle with thr boob. Sone nights he wakes me every hour. Some nights im lucky to get a sleep cycle in before he wakes. Naps, sometimes 30 mins sometimes 3 hours depending on his mood.
It is exhausting and I am exhausted. I had to resort to asking my partner to look after my baby just so I coukd have an hour of rest without worrying about the baby.
Co sleeping was all my baby would do and still does. We have resorted into buying a floor bed so I can nurse him in it and then leave in the hope he learns to sleep alone 🥲
You got this mama 🥰
Routine is key too
8am wake-up
3 to 4 hour awake time
Naps in between but jo Naps after 4pm
6 30/7pm bed
Is what we aim for 😬
Hope you are okay. Ask someone to look after LO if tired and not feeling safe. You got this 🫂
I don’t feel like I’m a good mum, I cannot stand my child clinging onto me/screaming I literally want to smack my head against a wall every time she makes that screeching noise I am seriously exhausted and I have no help whatsoever.

I am only 12 weeks but I fell like ive lost my patience with my 15 month old, all day long im just constantly telling her off for hitting the tv, climbing on the back of the sofa to get to the window, throwing things at the cat and laughing. Im not enjoying being with her and that sounds horrible 😢
Im not enjoying my pregnancy in the first place and feeling exhausted everyday aswel cause my daughter is sleeping in our bed every night as she cries the moment i get near her cot 😢
Im just feeling lost

My daughter is having the worst meltdowns recently. I’m talking to the point where people are starting to stop outside my house and looking in with concern. The anxiety and humiliation leaving the house sometimes is exhausting. Kicking and screaming at the top of her voice in public and having everyone in the street looking at me, is a different kind of embarrassment and guilt. I’ve had a few conversations recently with various people about seeing someone professional about mt daughter’s behaviour. She’s also started using noises and moans to gesture what she wants, coming from an incredibly smart 3 year old who has been speaking full sentences since she was two. We have regressed in verbal communication, and the meltdowns are getting so horrifically bad. She also tugs at her clothes when distressed or pulls on her fingers. There is absolutely ZERO reasoning with her when she is like this, it’s just constant screaming. I’m a first time mum and just at a complete loss.

I just found out some bad news yesterday. My babygirl of 14 years has cancer. They found three large masses inside her. I am so devastated. I know i have to put her down but she is still acting like herself. Jumping on and off the bed/counter, eating and drinking.
I just dont know what to do or when to do it. How do I know when its time? She doesn't seem to be in any pain or anything. Vet said that chemo would be hard on her since she's lost weight and is fragile and her age.
I guess I'm making this post for any and all advice on when to know its time to put her down..

I’m expecting in a few months time and want to breast feed (breast and bottle feed). What bottles do you recommend? I formula fed my first daughter and used Dr brown bottles (hated Tommee Tippee and MAM due to tongue tie issues). Is Philips Avent good or Lansinoh? Thank you ☺️

At what age did your baby go from contact naps during the day to sleeping independently? Even if you had to get them to sleep in your arms first and then transfer them? Just wondering when it started to happen for others!
