Feeling lonely and excluded

My husband and I were from different areas before we met, I moved in with him and now we have a beautiful baby. I have no friends or family nearby. My husband comes from a very large family and several of his family members had babies around the same time we did, which is nice but I never get included in any group events/outings/group chats. Even his mom I expected would want to stop by more often, but she doesn’t. I spend 24/7 with the baby and I love him to death but I rarely get adult conversation other than my husband. I feel like I am all alone as a new mom

I am sorry to hear. I know sometimes even when people are surrounded by love and other people they still can feel lonely. Maybe you can talk to your husband about his family, open up to your feelings and maybe he can give you an insight into how you can work your way into his family. I’m sorry you aren’t having the best first time mom experience. Happy to be here for you if you want to vent or just talk

Are there any local places you could find community at like at a local library?

Same save same. I’ve been looking for baby groups to go to but none of the other moms seem interested in friendship

Same. I moved down to texas from PA to be with my husband. His friend have adopted me into their group but I still feel like im just "his wife" and thats why they talk to me. As far as family goes his is 8 hours away and the majority of mine is 16+ so i get the struggle.
