Co sleeping

my baby was like 2.5 months old when she fell off the bed, it was one of those furnished dorm apts 😭 I died inside, she's perfectly fine as there was a barrier on the floor; pediatrician looked me dead in the eyes and said "mama, the baby is gonna fall" 😮‍💨

To answer your question, make baby a plop zone if you're gonna continue to co-sleep

I pushed our bed up against a wall, and stuffed pillows in the gap. If that’s not possible, a side bar may be a good idea as well

There's lots of info on happy co sleeper page on IG. But there are a few options,

Push bed against wall and have baby against the wall and then you next to them.

Side car a crib, where you build a cot with only 3 sides and attach it to your bed securely, then they've got more space and a proper barrier to stop them.

Or floor bed

Bed guards aren't recommended until about 18 months, mainly due to the entrapment and suffocation risk.

Floorbed all the way.

If you are going to carry on co sleeping, I can promise, a floor bed is the way forward! It's what I did, and I didn't regret it. Still pushed baby side against a wall as well, and filled any gaps with towel/pool noodle, then put the fitted sheet over the top.

Switch to a floor bed.
