Some advice please !!!
My LO is nearly 12 weeks and the longest stretch at night is 4.5 hours that’s happened VERY infrequently and most of the time he sleeps only 1.5-2.5 hour blocks. I’m exhausted, emotional and finding I am getting frustrated and inpatient at night because I feel as though we should be making some kind of sleep progress at this age. I then feel guilty about being frustrated later in the day.
All I can find is info on sleep 3 month regression at this age but I don’t feel like he’s even progressed to have a regression?! Is it normal to still be feeding on demand in the day and night? Occasionally he’s settled back to sleep with rocking and no feeding but not often. Is there light at the end of the tunnel ? My partner works long hours so I try not to involve him in nights but lately it’s been a joint effort but as I’m EBF, he can’t do much so I feel I always end up waking up anyway even if he does help out.

No advice, but just wanted to reassure you that this is so totally normal! My first at this age had never slept more than 3hrs in his cot and he was spending most of the night in bed with me, feeding every hour. My second is currently 12 weeks and is doing 2-3 hour stretches in his cot and in my mind he’s “sleeping really well” because of our experience with our first! It does get better. Personal choice but we used gentle sleep training (chair method) at 5 months and he’s slept straight through the night ever since, will be doing the same again!

Really normal your baby is so so young!
Feeding on demand is how it should be, your baby doesn’t have a clock or get hungry to a schedule.
Co-sleep and feed side lying! It makes the waking so much more bearable and you’ll get so much more rest x

Very very normal. Agree with co sleeping and feed lying down if you’re comfortable with it. Feeding during the night is normal until a year and not recommended to wean off it until then really. Do you nap during the day with baby? Or anyone who could have him during the day while you sleep?

Same as above, I don't have advice but wanted to reassure this is completely normal!! I also used to joke with my husband that we couldn't have any regression as we never had any progression 😅 our baby is 6 month old and he's always done what you describe: waking every 1-2h with some occasional 3-4 hours stretches. It's been super tough, but things improved around 4-5 months, not because his sleep improved, but because he's stronger/bigger so I'm finally managing with side-lying feeding and co-sleeping. That made a huge difference! I know it's not super helpful but earlier on I kept doubting myself and I think it's good to hear that everything is normal and things will get better. Even though you're not managing to co-sleep now, you might succeed later and things will feel better! For now try to nap during the day, and get your partner to do the dishes and the chores, you're already doing the whole night!

Going through the same thing! My LO will be 13 weeks this week and also only does 2-3 hour stretches at a given time. More recently he’s been really fussy at night - it takes me sometimes up to an hour to settle him. Every time I sit down with him he keeps moving so I end up walking with him until I can no longer take it.
I’m also EBF and used to put him in his crib for his first stretch then co sleep but for the last week or so I just gave up and now we just co sleep. However, even with co sleeping he will still get up and be fussy - not sure if it’s his reflux or gas playing up but I always hold him upright for at least 20 mins post feed. Every night I try something different to see if it helps 😭

Absolutely normal! We didn't get longer than 3 hours until 6 months old, so take those random 4.5 hour stints when you can 🙏💕 think I've got a "low sleep needs" baby, as he's now 8 months and can often go 4-5 hour wake windows without a nap and still seem pretty happy!
I use the Huckleberry app, and a lot of the advice for daytime naps seems to be blackout curtains, white noise, etc. But that feels a bit excessive to me when it’s the middle of the day, so I’m looking for more realistic advice.
My baby is 3.5 months old and actually sleeps quite well at night. He usually only wakes 2–3 times to breastfeed. We used to co-sleep, but he has recently moved into a next-to-me cot and is doing well there at night.
Daytime naps are a completely different story! He pretty much refuses to sleep anywhere except his BabyBjörn bouncer. Please don’t come at me about the bouncer, I sit right beside him and watch him closely the entire time.
The problem is that because I have to stay there watching him, I can’t get anything done while he naps.
Has anyone managed to get their baby to nap in a cot during the day without completely blacking out the room? I’d love realistic tips on what actually helped your babies sleep during the day in a normal, light room. Did they eventually just get used to it? Any routines or tricks that worked for you?

Weird one, my little girl is in a continuous cycle of trying to do headstands in bed. She worms around pushing her head face down against the mattress and rams it up toward the frame of the bed. I try and try to redirect her to a more comfy position but it is constant. She’s fighting naps and night time sleep a fair bit too and this behaviour has been around for quite a few weeks now, although she slept through for the first time in forever last night.
We thought it was teething, then I took her to my gp yesterday just to rule out ear infection. I’m wondering if it’s her own way of self soothing? Sometimes she’s quite chilled doing it and other times it’s whilst she’s crying. We’ve checked for trapped wind, give her infacol and probiotics and ruled out allergens etc in case it was tummy upset. When we thought it was teething we also gave her calpol and teething gel and it didn’t stop her doing it. I don’t know if it’s a regression behaviour or a phase or whether somethings wrong?
Has anyone else had this with their kiddos? I’m a ftm and I’m just trying to figure out if it’s normal. 😅

Breastfeeding
Pros:
- Better for baby
- Don't have to pay for formula
Cons:
- I'm probably gonna get touched out
- Worries, what if I don't produce enough, latching etc
- I want my partner to be able to handle feeds too
- I'll be going back to work after 9m
Formula
Pros:
- Already know what I'm doing
- Dad can do feeds
- Feel like this will be easier when baby starts nursery at 9m but don't know.
Cons
- More expense
Also please give me more pros/cons for both as that might help me make a decision 😅

Is it bad that I got mad that my packages keep getting stolen in our apartment so I put all my daughters poopie diapers into an old package and left a note in it saying “stop stealing or eat shit” and then resealed it and put it in the mail room?? I went to check if it’s there and it’s gone so someone took it! 🤣

Online I read somewhere around 4-5 months day naps could start lengthening. Has anyone’s baby started doing this who previously only napped 30-40 min? Just curious!
