Would you make someone wait a few days after flying on a plane before coming to see your newborn?
My reason being that planes are full of germ ridden strangers and I’m already going to be paranoid about germs with my baby being a winter born baby.
My mum implied that I’m being dramatic.

No I wouldn’t. If they are flying on a plane to come see you and the baby then id let them come as soon as they can. To help me and the baby. They can still come over and can help with household items or something and maybe wait until after they shower and what not to hold baby. But if they are only gonna be in town for a few days then I wouldnt make them wait a few days to see us

I think it would be reasonable to request they wash up a bit but logically it seems waiting a few days might actually be worse right? Just giving sicknesses a larger chance to set in and the person to become contagious

I am not a fan of masks, but when a relative flew in, I asked them to wear one when visiting our home. Airports are SO full of germs and one of the top places that people get sick. They wouldn't know they were sick for up to a week after flying, but could be contagious.

My sister was coming to help me with the baby and had to take a plane to get here. She masked up, disinfected the area around her, and changed/showered as soon as she arrived

Everyone can wait. You have who you want and no one else

Do what is best for you and your baby, who cares if they call you dramatic, you're protecting your child. My family and in-laws thought I was crazy because I wouldn't let them kiss my newborn. I told them I'm not taking any chances with illness or germs

We did this. Just one or two days to see if anyone started getting the sniffles, then it was the standard rule of wash hands before holding the baby.
Breastfeeding
Pros:
- Better for baby
- Don't have to pay for formula
Cons:
- I'm probably gonna get touched out
- Worries, what if I don't produce enough, latching etc
- I want my partner to be able to handle feeds too
- I'll be going back to work after 9m
Formula
Pros:
- Already know what I'm doing
- Dad can do feeds
- Feel like this will be easier when baby starts nursery at 9m but don't know.
Cons
- More expense
Also please give me more pros/cons for both as that might help me make a decision 😅

Some advice please !!!
My LO is nearly 12 weeks and the longest stretch at night is 4.5 hours that’s happened VERY infrequently and most of the time he sleeps only 1.5-2.5 hour blocks. I’m exhausted, emotional and finding I am getting frustrated and inpatient at night because I feel as though we should be making some kind of sleep progress at this age. I then feel guilty about being frustrated later in the day.
All I can find is info on sleep 3 month regression at this age but I don’t feel like he’s even progressed to have a regression?! Is it normal to still be feeding on demand in the day and night? Occasionally he’s settled back to sleep with rocking and no feeding but not often. Is there light at the end of the tunnel ? My partner works long hours so I try not to involve him in nights but lately it’s been a joint effort but as I’m EBF, he can’t do much so I feel I always end up waking up anyway even if he does help out.

Don’t come for me, I’m a first time mam and still learning! When I am out, I haven’t been doing a “hot shot” or mixing formula into hot water as I have been using the nuby rapid cooler and just cooling the correct amount of water down e.g. 4oz of boiling water then pouring it into a bottle (I use mam bottles) and then adding the powder but I have been researching and it says I should be mixing it the powdered formula into hot water to get rid of any bacteria however when I am out I can’t sterilise the nuby rapidcooler and sometimes we use about 3 or 4 bottles depending how long we are out. I use SMA First Infant Milk. What does everyone else do? I’m stressing🤣 I need advice as I don’t really want to have to get pre-made formula as it’s just means having to spend even more money.

Not sure where else to ask this, but I recently brought some unopened nappies on vinted (pampers pants). They have just arrived today and when checking packaging I noticed the manufacturing date was 2018!
I know nappies don't have an expiration date but would you still use them? I haven't actually opened the packaging yet or accepted the order yet just in case.
These will be for my 8 month old.
I've never seen nappies like this before as people tend to use them straight away.😂
I brought 3 packs for £10 and all 3 are dated 2018.

My daughter has dairy and egg allergies so for nursery I’ve been pumping and sending that with her, I’m still happy to breastfeed her to sleep at night and when she wakes up in the morning, and even for naps when we’re both home all day together but I HATE pumping. Do I actually need to be sending her with breast milk or do I have alternatives or is she just okay without it at all? For reference she’s JUST turned 12 months so not sure if that changes anything - thank you so much in advance for advice I am STRESSED x
