She worms around pushing her head face down against the mattress and rams it up toward the frame of the bed. I try and try to redirect her to a more comfy position but it is constant. Sheās fighting naps and night time sleep a fair bit too and this behaviour has been around for quite a few weeks now, although she slept through for the first time in forever last night.
We thought it was teething, then I took her to my gp yesterday just to rule out ear infection. Iām wondering if itās her own way of self soothing? Sometimes sheās quite chilled doing it and other times itās whilst sheās crying. Weāve checked for trapped wind, give her infacol and probiotics and ruled out allergens etc in case it was tummy upset. When we thought it was teething we also gave her calpol and teething gel and it didnāt stop her doing it. I donāt know if itās a regression behaviour or a phase or whether somethings wrong?
Has anyone else had this with their kiddos? Iām a ftm and Iām just trying to figure out if itās normal. š

Breastfeeding
Pros:
- Better for baby
- Don't have to pay for formula
Cons:
- I'm probably gonna get touched out
- Worries, what if I don't produce enough, latching etc
- I want my partner to be able to handle feeds too
- I'll be going back to work after 9m
Formula
Pros:
- Already know what I'm doing
- Dad can do feeds
- Feel like this will be easier when baby starts nursery at 9m but don't know.
Cons
- More expense
Also please give me more pros/cons for both as that might help me make a decision š

I use the Huckleberry app, and a lot of the advice for daytime naps seems to be blackout curtains, white noise, etc. But that feels a bit excessive to me when itās the middle of the day, so Iām looking for more realistic advice.
My baby is 3.5 months old and actually sleeps quite well at night. He usually only wakes 2ā3 times to breastfeed. We used to co-sleep, but he has recently moved into a next-to-me cot and is doing well there at night.
Daytime naps are a completely different story! He pretty much refuses to sleep anywhere except his BabyBjƶrn bouncer. Please donāt come at me about the bouncer, I sit right beside him and watch him closely the entire time.
The problem is that because I have to stay there watching him, I canāt get anything done while he naps.
Has anyone managed to get their baby to nap in a cot during the day without completely blacking out the room? Iād love realistic tips on what actually helped your babies sleep during the day in a normal, light room. Did they eventually just get used to it? Any routines or tricks that worked for you?

Some advice please !!!
My LO is nearly 12 weeks and the longest stretch at night is 4.5 hours thatās happened VERY infrequently and most of the time he sleeps only 1.5-2.5 hour blocks. Iām exhausted, emotional and finding I am getting frustrated and inpatient at night because I feel as though we should be making some kind of sleep progress at this age. I then feel guilty about being frustrated later in the day.
All I can find is info on sleep 3 month regression at this age but I donāt feel like heās even progressed to have a regression?! Is it normal to still be feeding on demand in the day and night? Occasionally heās settled back to sleep with rocking and no feeding but not often. Is there light at the end of the tunnel ? My partner works long hours so I try not to involve him in nights but lately itās been a joint effort but as Iām EBF, he canāt do much so I feel I always end up waking up anyway even if he does help out.

Not sure if this is going to sound silly but what are we doing with fluffy coats/pram suits etc I feel like washing them is going to ruin them or make them look shabby

Donāt come for me, Iām a first time mam and still learning! When I am out, I havenāt been doing a āhot shotā or mixing formula into hot water as I have been using the nuby rapid cooler and just cooling the correct amount of water down e.g. 4oz of boiling water then pouring it into a bottle (I use mam bottles) and then adding the powder but I have been researching and it says I should be mixing it the powdered formula into hot water to get rid of any bacteria however when I am out I canāt sterilise the nuby rapidcooler and sometimes we use about 3 or 4 bottles depending how long we are out. I use SMA First Infant Milk. What does everyone else do? Iām stressing𤣠I need advice as I donāt really want to have to get pre-made formula as itās just means having to spend even more money.
