Weaning
Feeling at a loss. Baby is nearly 7 months and we started weaning at 5.5 months as he gave all the signs. It hasn’t gone well at all and he still is hardly eating any meals unless it’s the pouches (which I don’t want to give him). I’ve also started giving him breakfast in the form of porridge or Weetabix and he just screams in his chair. I don’t know what to do as it just ends in tears for both of us!

Health visitor has always said “food before one is just for fun”.
My little girl is 7 months and still only having a few spoonfuls of food. It’s more about exploring rather than filling, which is so hard because we just want our babies to be fed and have happy full tummies but please don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Try foods a few times a week rather than daily and keep to more milk feeds like before! Don’t give up, one day he’ll be eating you out of house and home once he’s grown 🙈
i know it’s easy to say but please don’t stress about it! my 4 year old was like this didn’t really start eating till he was 1 but he eats a wide range of things now!

Toddler is iron deficient
Hello moms! I’m desperate, my little one has never been a good eater he is 2.5 years now and his iron is very low! 11. The minimum is 20. Has anyone had this issue? Any advice on recipes? Iron rich food for picky eaters/ experience with supplements? I’m very concerned! First time and solo mom! Thanks

Does your 3 year old have friends?
My 3.5 year old prefers to play alone. Nursery sends me pictures and it shows her playing alone and it's truly heartbreaking. Maybe she prefers to play alone but it wouldn't be great for starting school next year. Any tips on how to approach this with nursery would also be appreciates.

Going out
I feel like a horrible mom, because I know I should take my 20 month old girl out almost everyday but I don’t feel like it at all. Firstly I work night shifts ( 4 nights in a week, some 3 nights back to back, 1 day off and the last night).
when I come back home i only get 2 hours sleep and I have to look after her because she hasn’t started nursery, make food and so on. My partner is just annoying and doesn’t help even when he’s currently not working right now. I still have to do everything for her.. and then I’m so tired and don’t feel like going out for a walk or any play gym.
I don’t know but I feel like I’m doing a bad job and not being a good mom at all.

Visitors and newborn
How would you navigate my situation?
My brother (and only sibling) wants to fly in from overseas to visit for Christmas, but with my due date being late November, I have some anxiety around a few things.
1. He’s a heavy smoker and even if I ask him not to smoke before he sees baby, he still smells like it. I don’t want our newborn baby smelling or inhaling any of that off his clothing.
2. It’s just awkward - I’m uncomfortable with him staying with us, and my husband and I will restrict guests over Christmas to 30-45 minute visits. It’s really not worth him flying across the world to see us for 30 mins a day, if that.
We don’t plan to restrict our extended family completely, at the same time no one else we know is a heavy smoker and since they live here it won’t matter if they only pop by for a short period of time. My mum is flying in to stay with us to support us postpartum for 1 month.
How is everyone planning to go about Christmas and holiday season? Especially if you have family overseas?
