My nipple blister opened and now there's a little piece of skin hanging off. Should I leave it alone, and has anyone else dealt with this when breastfeeding or pumping? Any tips for healing and comfort?

Ouchie I'm sorry. That sounds so painful. I didn't breastfeed so I don't have advice

This happened to me, not sure if this is the right thing but I ripped it off, was afraid my little was going to swallow it 😅. The silver nipple covers were a life saver. Totally worth it since nothing else was helping

I pulled it off out of fear my baby would swallow it too lol. Try nipple cream or silverettes but I learned the second time around it’s important the nipple silverettes are used alone. The goal is a chemical reaction between your skin and the silver lol. They didn’t really work for me so I’d put nipple cream in and them on top to reduce pain from clothing or bumping things. Try both and see what works for you!!

I left it alone, it got pulled off during a nursing session. Apparently it doesn’t do them any harm, but I was so close to giving up on breastfeeding!

If it doesn't hurt just pull it off, if it does hurt coat your nips with lanolin and lots of it! And I had the thickness layers of lanolin on my nips for the first month till my nips were all healed. I wore elvie catchers 24/7 with that cream. That way bra didn't irritate them. I also washed my nips before breastfeeding so that I can wipe away any discharge and old cream. As soon as baby was gone eating I coated those bad boys in lanolin immediately so that they don't sit there all dry and start cracking.
Sorry I'm yapping but hope this helps in any way lol
So my husband has to go away for work, he's been away from Tuesday and will be back Friday night. I am at home with our three months old daughter, well it's going ok we both getting through, I had a phone call with my husband, her dad, last night and I think she was a little whingey because she could hear him but he obviously wasn't there, well she woke up at four ish for a feed and then when I placed her back in the cot after she fell asleep she was up again, yawning wanting sleep but not going, well I picked her up for a cuddle instantly she was asleep, same happened at seven ISH feed time, is this because she knows he's not there and needs extra comfort or am I reading into this because I got another week of my husband being away and I don't like because of her age but we can't do anything about it.

I’m due to return to work from maternity leave in January 2027 and I’m DREADING IT, he’ll be 1. I just feel so bad for him, I have such a clingy baby and I think he’s going to think I’ve abandoned him 😭 we co-sleep, is exclusively breastfed (won’t take a bottle / dummy but will sometimes have small amounts of pumped milk in a cup with straw) and I’m the only one who can put him down for naps (fed to sleep) and then I roll away. Not even his dad can put him to sleep (he falls asleep with rocking but wakes the moment he touched the mattress when transferred).
I’ve never spent more than 2 hours away from him (2-3 times). We don’t have any family or friends who can look after the baby to even practice him being away from us.
In an ideal world I would wait for him to go to nursery when he is able to talk and understand that I’m not leaving him forever and I’ll be coming back, the thought of it breaks me!
I’m already struggling with mental health (post natal depression and anxiety). I’m considering taking a career break (if my work will let me), or staying off sick for a few months or paying back my enhanced maternity pay (£9000) and leaving the company! Money will be very tight but this could work for around 6 months.
I don’t know what to do, any suggestions or experience would be appreciated!
Thanks xxx

I feel so stressed when I see these TikTok’s of peoples babies eating huge bottles like 7-8oz per feeding and my LO is barely eating 4oz MAYBE 5. He is combo fed but whether it’s formula or breastmilk he won’t go past 5oz. His pediatrician is happy with his weight gain and he sleeps pretty decent at night, but I can’t help but wonder why he doesn’t eat as much as other babies 😅 (he’s 5 months btw)

Anybody been co-sleeping at night? I’ve started letting my little one sleep in the bed with us after the early morning feed around 4/5am till 8when she wakes up for the day.
Any tips or experiences?

How are we all keeping our baby’s entertained? My girlie’s wake windows are sometimes up to 2 hours now, and I’m out of things to do😭😂
We practice tummy time, stretches to encourage rolling, reading, singing nursery rhymes, etc. But she only ever lasts a few minutes before getting frustrated, she must think I’m boring😂😂
Ps she also hates her pram so walks aren’t really an option unless she’s in her carrier, but if she’s not tired she gets mad in there too😂

I asked the other day how many of you have dropped to 1 nap already, everywhere is saying 11 months is too young but my god daytime sleep is a battle at the minute. How did you know it was time to drop one?
For the last week and a bit she has refused every single morning nap, then passes out about mid day for an hour. Because of this I have been doing bedtime around 5:30/6 instead of 7 and for the most part she will sleep until 6:30am.
The thing is she seems exhausted all day doing this, but I cannot get her to sleep any earlier and by the time she wakes up it's too late to fit in another nap before bedtime because she's not got enough sleep pressure at her normal bed time.
I know there's a sleep regression around this age, she also seems to be getting some more teeth, and is trying so hard to walk so is this her needing to change her wake windows and drop to a single nap or is it just temporary because of one of the above reasons - and how do you know which it is?
