Baby doesn’t like being put down

Same boat 11 weeks.
Ex Midwife told me to swaddle put in a car eat and lift up and down by the handle. Womb walk she called it. Just to get them used to falling asleep somewhere else. Worked for a while each time they cry lift up and down until they stop and put them down again.
Little unorthodox but it worked, until it didn't shes got realllllly clingy again after her vacs and now shes back to not being put down again and to big to lift up and down in the car seat 😢

Your not creating bad habits by holding them though so don't stress about that. And people keep telling me before long they won't want to be held by you anymore 😪

Incredibly normal, they are so so so so new. You aren’t making a rod for your own back, you’re responding to their needs. We contact napped for like a year, it might not be what you want to hear but it worked! From about 14 months he’s been happy enough napping and sleeping independently. Only thing I could identify from your post though is 20 mins might be too long and actually disrupting the sleep cycle - we had to do 12 mins exactly for a long time, then 8, for him to be in the right state sleep to stay down x

They get tired just being awake. I play with my LO show her things track objects, very short tummy time as she hates it ect. But sometimes shes happy to just lay and watch her Einstein or look at her mobile. Don't need actively play with them in every wake window as everything to them atm is simulating. I use some of the time to hang washing or do something productive and check in with her every few mins so she knows im still there
