Second Night Syndrome!
Omg I read about this but my second night at home with a newborn I’ve never experienced exhaustion like it. Last night in hospital I was in a different headspace and there was lots of support available at night. I’ve gone home today and my baby has been on my boob for hours. I’m sore, she won’t be laid in her crib and I’m struggling to my eyes open. When will this phrase be over and any suggestions on helpful strategies?

My second night was hell, everything hurts and you feel like you are going insane due to hormones.
All I can say is that it gets so much better but your baby will get bigger and bigger until you look back at that first week and wish you could go back.
Just make sure you stay hydrated, fed and comfortable. It will get better but you also need to remember to give yourself a break, it’s hard but you just put your body through one of the hardest things it will ever experience.

Sleep in shifts if you can so you get at least a bit of sleep - it’s hard 😖😖😖 everything’s a phase though 🥹❤️ pick a good box set and get comfy xx
My bub would be cluster feeding from about 7pm to 1am then he'd go down for about 4 hours as a newborn then only wake for feeds and settle back straightaway.
Did your baby settle at some point last night?

4-month-old waking every hour at night – how can I help her sleep longer?
My baby is 4 months old, and for the past few weeks she has been waking almost every hour at night. She wants to breastfeed and then goes straight back to sleep.
During the day, she usually only naps for around 30 minutes. If I rock her back to sleep, sometimes she will continue sleeping, but other times she just stays awake.
What am I doing wrong? How can I change this, if it’s even possible? I’m exhausted. 😭

Fed up
My 16 month old is only waking twice a night but for both those time she is suckling on me for 40 minutes and then I can’t transfer her to the cot so I’m in there for nearly an hour and then have to end up getting my husband to come in when she’s asleep enough to pass her to him, within 10/15 minutes of being in there he gets her down
I know two wake ups isn’t bad but being in there for so long is killing me and then because I’m so awake after that it’s really hard to get back to sleep.
The only answer is to stop the nursing back to sleep but she cries so much I can’t handle it, a few minutes feels like a life time 😩 I feel so trapped and fed up this is so so hard. I can deal with multiple wakes if she goes back down easily but this is torture
I wouldn’t even mind co sleeping but our bed is way too high and our mattress is very soft so it’s not safe and whenever we’ve tried anyway she just gets wide awake and thinks it’s play time 🤦🏻♀️

Awake until 1am!
Anyone else’s little one just come alive at night time? I’m absolutely exhausted to the point I’m falling asleep during feeds. She sleeps most the day and then come evening she is wide awake, I don’t get her down until 1/2am every single night where she sleeps until 5:30am. From 6pm-1/2am it’s just constant feeds back to back and being very alert/fussy.
Any tips? Please tell me I’m not alone🤣🤣

Moving to own room
Have we put our babies in their own rooms yet?? I know it’s recommended around 6 months but I don’t feel ready yet. Can someone educate me on why we are supposed to do it at this age??
