How much should my husband help during the newborn stage? I feel like I’m alway taking care of our son, pumping, diapers, waking up in the middle of the night then cleaning the house, washing dishes, bottles, pumps and the laundry. He work a blue collar job so he doesn’t hold our son till he showers and sometimes he is home for 1-2 hrs before he showers and even then he doesn’t hold our son unless I hand him off. Just feel like I’m doing morning shift and night shift and I’m tired and I don’t know how to get him to help.

He manipulated you to have his kids. Men strikes again. I’m so sorry. I hope you can replace him one day. Definitely a nonchalant person and don’t deserve kids. Job don’t make him a damn man. He sucks. Leaving women to do all the tasks. That’s why women in this generation are opting out from motherhood. Because it always comes down to this. I’ve seen many posts like this already this month. Gives me anxiety too because my partner cares more about money than taking care of children . He only presents to care for them when we are in public or else he will make himself look like a POS. They don’t want that embarrassment. But please when the baby grow up, make him do everything for a pay back. It works.

It should be a team effort any time he’s home. He should be washing bottles, cleaning, etc if you’re nursing and doing diapers and holding baby. Sounds like he’s using the ‘not till I shower’ thing as an excuse. Have you talked to him and told him how you’re feeling? That you’re working a 24 hour a day job and you need him to step up so you don’t lose it? Have him take the baby for 6 hours on a weekend and take a nap at a friend’s house- it’ll give you a break and give him some perspective

My husband is the same way and will refuse to even let me hand off the baby to him without a fight

You are doing WAY too much. Regardless if he works FT, when my man steps in from work he’s my other 2 arms 2 legs 2 eyes. It should be a partnership and not feel like you are a married single mother. Providing isn’t only his job. His job is also to be your husband and to be their father when he’s here. He takes over the baby from 5-8 I do cleaning cooking laundry or 1hr of my nails in that time- doesn’t matter, but I’m hands off w the baby coz he’s there. Also twice a week Tuesdays and Fridays I log out at 6 and go to my 7pm dance classes he actually does bedtime twice a week for my baby but because he does it so often he has no probs settling the baby, I come home to baby asleep and just about to wake for a midnight BF. I didn’t do ANY cooking or cleaning in the first 8w, him and his mum did it all. Posts like this make it obv why some mums cruise through PP w help and support and others are prone to isolation and PPD.

Literally blows my mind that men have kids then don’t want to look after or spend time with them 🤯
The first thing my hubby does is see my son when he gets in! He’s in full on dad mode and now I’m pregnant he’s doing 70-80% of all childcare. When he was a baby it was 50/50 overnight and he took care of all bottles, tons of nappy changes, baths etc. he’s involved in everything. I prob do more of the housework and cooking but he’s decent with that too.
I married a man that WANTED kids & to be a hubby though.
My 42 year old husband went out last night for his friends 40th. Its now almost midday and not only is he not home, but hasn't even contacted me. Im 6 months pregnant and we have a 3 year old. He goes over to that friends every friday night fot a few drinks and stays until usually 2. A couple times hes come home at 630 but never this late. Never apologises. But this feels like blatant disrespect. Im starting to suspect cheating too... what do you guys think?

I feel like i can't tell my husband no. I can tell him I don't want to but for some reason it always keeps going and eventually I give up and try to enjoy it as much as i can. Hes not a bad guy but I have a really hard time resisting him when it comes to it. The problem is I am only 25 days postpartum and we've had sex 3 times already. I know my body isn't ready and I've told him as much. All he does is tell me he'll be gentle. Anyways he finished inside yesterday and I have been a nervous wreck. I am not on birth control yet since i haven'tbeen to my 6 week appointment yet. I got pregnant with our current newborn while breastfeeding and not even having 1 period after our toddler. This most recent pregnancy was very hard on me physically and our newborn is dealing with health issues. I am so scared to get pregnant again. I know its not likely that ive ovulated yet since I am breastfeeding still and haven't stopped my postpartum bleeding yet, but i am still stressing out.

These past 3 days especially today. Have been hard. I really need someone that’s not my mom to talk to right now.
My husband has been mad at me for 3 days now. And I don’t know why. I asked and apologized for things I thought it would be.
Today my son hit his face really hard on a table leg. Call doc they said he fine. I’m still going to go see a doc tomorrow just in case. But nothing I do or that has been said to me helping me claim down. My husband will not talk to me about it. And I know once he see it he only going to get more upset with me. I just need a hug and someone to talk to me. I’m a mess right now. And I’m worried like crazy about my baby.

How much is everyone's 8 month old eating?
I'm doing a mix of what we eat and pouches but I never know if a full pouch is too much?
Just wondering what everyone else is doing? She has main and then something pudding like e.g fruit or yoghurt. Sometimes maybe a snack or biscuit after. She has this between 5/5.30 and then 7oz at 7.15 for bed

I’m close to receiving an offer for a full-time remote position and would love to hear from anyone else working FT remotely. How do you organize your day? Do you have childcare, and if so, how much? Any tips for making it sustainable?
My son’s naps and sleep schedule have become very predictable.. so I’m wondering if 2-3 hours a day of childcare would be enough help for me.
