I know that this isn’t an easy process. But I feel like I’m neglecting my baby when I make them wait even 5-10mins to see if they can sooth themselves to sleep.
Any advice?
Do I go in sooner if they start scream crying?

I’m in the same boat as we speak, I keep looking at him on the monitor and I just feel so guilty

Also you aren’t doing anything wrong, they are used to us we are all they have known their whole little lives so change can be difficult for them to adapt to, just stay consistent and it will get easier I promise. You’re doing amazing momma🫶🏻

It's soooo hard! I sleep trained my now 4 year old, and the results with her help, but I still struggle emotionally. 😭
Fwiw, by around 6 months my oldest was sleeping reliably through the night and has continued since. She's happy because she has routine and regular rest, and I've been able to be a better version of myself because I haven't been kooky from sleep deprivation - at least until my son was born.
I set timers and limit how much I have to listen. Like, turn the sound off the monitor, etc. When I try adjustments in wake windows, etc, I give it a few days, ideally at least a week, to decide how well it's working. Crying should significantly decrease after a week, 2 at most, so try to remember that it's just temporary. The baby should be fed, dry, and properly dressed. And I use Ferber, so that method does still allow you to go give comfort.
Idk. It's not easy, but I really think sleep training saves lives. It keeps you from bedsharing and gets us the sleep we need to prevent mental health issues. ❤️
My 9mo sleeps from 7pm until 5:30 am ?
How can I get him to sleep in a little later until 6:30 !
Also regarding naps during the day are we capping those naps and waking them up or letting them sleep for however long they need it ?

I gave birth to my first kiddo a week ago today and all the doctors and nurses keep asking if I’m breast feeding and seeming… disappointed? Concerned? When I say that I mainly pump and bottle feed and then recommend a lactation specialist. We used formula the first couple of days at the hospital, but I now pump enough milk to keep up with feedings.
My baby just doesn’t always latch and gets frantic when he can’t latch and then it all goes downhill from there so we typically stick to bottles. He does latch maybe once or twice a day when he just won’t accept a bottle nipple or to comfort feed, but it’s easier for us to bottle feed. Should I be trying the breast first?

Formula fed 9 week old here. I got the impression that I was waking my LO up to feed when she was just wriggling a bit and not actually awake and hungry. So tonight I monitored her and indeed she just slept. Her last full feed was at 21:00 (she had a 40ml snack at 23:00) and I got so anxious that I woke her up at 5:30 as she still hadnt woken. She only had 70ml lol so I guess she just wanted to be left?
Any advice or experience? 🙏

My little one is two weeks away from turning six months old. We’ve started weaning her on vegetables. A few weeks ago she used to sleep for five to seven-hour stretches but the last week has been awful. She wakes up every hour or two, crying but her eyes are closed. I rock her to sleep or sometimes feed her to sleep. The only way she’ll sleep for any length of time is in bed with me and my partner – not ideal! Has anyone else been through this or is currently experiencing it? Any tips on how to help my little one sleep longer or through would be really appreciated. Thanks! X
