Need help for sleep

My 9mo sleeps from 7pm until 5:30 am ?
How can I get him to sleep in a little later until 6:30 !

Also regarding naps during the day are we capping those naps and waking them up or letting them sleep for however long they need it ?

Every baby is different unfortunately.
Mine is 3m and sleeps 7/7:30 until 6-7 (sometimes later than 7) , but includes changing, feeding and then he just goes back to sleep. We didn't do anything.. he just likes to sleep.

We are careful with the sleep during the day tho. We are usually capping his total sleep at 4h

Put them to bed later. The average night is 10.5 hours long.

A baby only has a maximum sleep need in 24 hours. If they’re having tonnes of day sleep naturally there’ll sleep less at night

How early is the first nap? If the morning nap is too early they get up earlier to make sure they are tired enough for it

My little girl is 8 months old, I went through a long 5am get up phase, I’ve just managed to get her to go down 7pm-7am, she has 60-90mins at 9am and then 60mins at 2.30pm, then we’re in her bedroom for 6.30 and she’ll be asleep for 7.
Milk wise I make her 240ml (8oz) I’ll offer it at 7.30am, 11am, 3.30am and then her final milk before bed I make 270ml(9oz). If she doesn’t drink the whole bottle when I offer it, I will give her the rest before her next sleep.
Food wise I’ve just started giving her a 3rd ‘meal’ so she’s now having breakfast lunch and tea which I do around 8.15am, 12.30pm and then 5pm.

Food and milk isn’t rigid and strict, but tryi bf to keep them 2 naps stable and at the same time is what seems to have helped me, I found I was getting it right in the week but then when my partner came home they’d go out the window, and I’d push the nap 30 mins to fit in with us going out. The past few weeks I’ve stopped this and will get her to sleep no matter what x

I stopped that by doing bedtime later. We do absolutely not before 8 but you’re in that bed by 9 at the latest because I have to breathe before I go to sleep. Now up at 7ish. I know this doesn’t work for everyone but it did for us

Hate the newborn stage

Does anyone else absolutely hate the newborn stage? So many of my friends love to borrow him for "newborn snuggles" or whatever but I just can't bring myself to care and just leave him to sleep in his crib as much as possible. I just feel so disconnected from my baby... and in hindsight, I had this with my first 2 as well - I keep them alive but wouldn't say I truly bond with them until 6 months+...

Has anyone else experienced this? I feel like I can't openly talk about it with friends/family without serious judgement though I finally admitted it to my husband last night - I don't think I ever admitted it (even to myself) with my first 2. Is something wrong with me?

Importance of Breast Feeding?

I gave birth to my first kiddo a week ago today and all the doctors and nurses keep asking if I’m breast feeding and seeming… disappointed? Concerned? When I say that I mainly pump and bottle feed and then recommend a lactation specialist. We used formula the first couple of days at the hospital, but I now pump enough milk to keep up with feedings.
My baby just doesn’t always latch and gets frantic when he can’t latch and then it all goes downhill from there so we typically stick to bottles. He does latch maybe once or twice a day when he just won’t accept a bottle nipple or to comfort feed, but it’s easier for us to bottle feed. Should I be trying the breast first?

9 week old slept through night?

Formula fed 9 week old here. I got the impression that I was waking my LO up to feed when she was just wriggling a bit and not actually awake and hungry. So tonight I monitored her and indeed she just slept. Her last full feed was at 21:00 (she had a 40ml snack at 23:00) and I got so anxious that I woke her up at 5:30 as she still hadnt woken. She only had 70ml lol so I guess she just wanted to be left?
Any advice or experience? 🙏
