My little one is two weeks away from turning six months old. We’ve started weaning her on vegetables. A few weeks ago she used to sleep for five to seven-hour stretches but the last week has been awful. She wakes up every hour or two, crying but her eyes are closed. I rock her to sleep or sometimes feed her to sleep. The only way she’ll sleep for any length of time is in bed with me and my partner – not ideal! Has anyone else been through this or is currently experiencing it? Any tips on how to help my little one sleep longer or through would be really appreciated. Thanks! X

Here for the answers!!!! My little one has been awful the last few nights.
So many false starts. Up every few hours.
Weaning starts tomorrow
Currently she is EBF but trying to get her to take a bottle so I can monitor how much she is getting.
It’s hardcore savage!!!!
Don’t know what to do! X

Also here for the answers! Going through exactly the same thing at the same age too. Have no idea what to do 😩 don’t want her to get used to sleeping in bed with me but it’s also the only way to get any sleep at the moment. Hope it gets better soon for you 🩷

It's normal, really normal. There is another sleep regression at 6 months, another at 8 months, another at 12 months and then a big one at 18 months and the last at 24 months.
My youngest is 5 months and will do the first few hours in the cot and then when he wants a feed he prefers to sleep in bed with me. Side lying feeding for the win so I can still get a bit of sleep haha.
Honestly it doesn't last long so if you're not against cosleeping then just go with it. It's developmentally normal ❤️❤️ xx

We are in exactly the same boat must be a developmental thing 🫠 x

Is she still nursing as often in the day as she was before? Often if they miss out on feeds due to solids they’ll make up for it overnight. Just keep feeding on demand and make sure solids aren’t overtaking milk ◡̈

I ebf but i started giving little one a bottle around 11pm about a week ago to get her ready for weaning she’s around 4&1/2 months now she hated it at first and took me a while to find the right bottle (did used to pump and give her a bottle but kept forgetting to pump lol) I’ve found MAM bottles work for her maybe try it like this see if it helps good luck to you

Yes I’m worried she’s hungry
My 9mo sleeps from 7pm until 5:30 am ?
How can I get him to sleep in a little later until 6:30 !
Also regarding naps during the day are we capping those naps and waking them up or letting them sleep for however long they need it ?

I gave birth to my first kiddo a week ago today and all the doctors and nurses keep asking if I’m breast feeding and seeming… disappointed? Concerned? When I say that I mainly pump and bottle feed and then recommend a lactation specialist. We used formula the first couple of days at the hospital, but I now pump enough milk to keep up with feedings.
My baby just doesn’t always latch and gets frantic when he can’t latch and then it all goes downhill from there so we typically stick to bottles. He does latch maybe once or twice a day when he just won’t accept a bottle nipple or to comfort feed, but it’s easier for us to bottle feed. Should I be trying the breast first?

Formula fed 9 week old here. I got the impression that I was waking my LO up to feed when she was just wriggling a bit and not actually awake and hungry. So tonight I monitored her and indeed she just slept. Her last full feed was at 21:00 (she had a 40ml snack at 23:00) and I got so anxious that I woke her up at 5:30 as she still hadnt woken. She only had 70ml lol so I guess she just wanted to be left?
Any advice or experience? 🙏
