Planned babies ONLY! How much did you and your partner have saved before planning/ having a baby?

Not much. We had been married less than a year and were in our early 20. So we didnt really have any savings. And we’re pregnant with our third. We have enough money t afford another child but still don’t have much of a savings because of debt and what not

My second was the only one planned, I was already a sahm so no income on my end, but my husband has always been a saver and he'd had tens of thousands saved, made possible because of his job.

Soo funny story well kindaa lmao we had 40k saved up. But since we were struggling on getting pregnant we ended up getting a truck that was 30k. So we had 10k left. 2 months after we got the truck, we found out we were expecting. 10k was enough for us to buy the crib, stroller, car seat, clothes and bottles. I didn’t go too crazy on clothes though or any baby items since i was having a baby shower. I did a raffle for my baby shower so that helped us with diapers and baby wipes. We were pretty much set for 10-12 months. I also upped my hrs at work. I went from 3 12 hr shifts to 4 12 hrs sometimes 16 hr shifts. My 5th shift would be 8 hrs. So i got to save up more. Paid off credit cards and any debt we had. Til this day we have enough saved up which i thank god cause we are expecting our second baby in 4 weeks and had switched jobs with less pay after i had my 1st baby

my baby was planned until she existed. 🙏🏽 the switch up was a double life and I had 10k savings.

Didn't save much honestly just had what I had for my first. Felt like we were living pay check to paycheck at the time basically ...only a few grand. I think Max I had saved was near 10k with my last daughter that was planned which was less stress!

We had a good amount of savings when the first came. Second is coming and we're still ok , can afford a second but it's getting tight

My husband and I are in our late 20’s with 2 kids . I’m a stay at home mother for about 6 ish years or so ✨🤎

I’m not sure on an actual amount however my husband and i knew that I wanted to stay home with our children so we bought a home my husband could afford on his own. While I worked we put a lot into savings as well as before the kids I would make 1/2 of an extra mortgage payment every month. We live relatively comfortably. We’re not lavish but we have what we need and if an emergency comes along we’re prepared
