Endometriosis presents itself differently with each individual unfortunately :/ Also it’s important to know that endo is a full body systemic disease, not just a bad period. It also can grow anywhere in the body. I have bowel endo, bladder endo, and had to have a full hysterectomy. I’m on my 5th endo surgery. I was unable to have a complete pregnancy so we opted for surrogacy.
Now this isn’t everyone’s story! Some have zero infertility issues and others do. So it gives a lot of misinformation out there. There’s still not enough funding or research.
Do you have an endo specialist that you are seeing??? If you are struggling with infertility, after a laparoscopy is your best fertility window since it’s excised all the seen endo.

For some it will affect their chances absolutely and some it won't. I have Endo and adeno and have 3 beautiful children!

My advice is to find a doctor with a shorter wait list. If you are planning on getting pregnant it might be a good time to switch anyway, especially to someone with more availability.
