Hey just wondering if anyone goes to kiddicaru in Chelmsford and how it's been? I'm also wondering what their policies are around sleep - do they wake your baby up if you ask? We're awhile away from nursery and can ask questions when we visit, but find it really helpful to hear real experiences. Looking at the writtle and town sites! Thanks š

My LOs go to writtle. How old are they? We started limiting our daughterās sleep to an hour when she was perhaps nearly 2? They did agree to try wake her but said if no success by just saying her name, they wonāt force it! However technically their sleep policy says they canāt wake them at all x
Thanks Alice! My little one is 6 months and we're looking to join around March time! We're quite low sleep needs at the moment and has to be woken up from naps otherwise won't sleep at night, so starting to get worried about that!

What nurseries/childminders are about that takes 1 year olds please? We are writtle end too and can only find pre-schools, but havent looked that hard yet tbh
I just kicked out my husband for the last time found out his still talking to some one itās awful crying this late with ur one year old next to u

So for context we have a 6mo and a 2.5 year old, my husband has gone to Prague for 2 nights on a business trip. I canāt help but feel a rage inside me when Iām having a hard time putting the kids to bed and I can see heās out having a nice dinner and having drinks at bars. I suppose I am maybe abit jealous that he gets to do these things, it causes arguments. Is it normal I feel like this?

My 3.5 yo is at an age where he understands each occasion and enjoys it. So he thinking a Boo basket would be nice but looking at ideas online and it's full of tat lol I don't need more clutter in the house.

My MIL is a bitchš sorry, just had to start off with that. Okay, now that I got that out š let me give yāall the backstory because I genuinely need to know if Iām being dramatic or if this is as fucked up as it feels.
My MIL is the CEO of the company I work for. My husband also works there, heās a Coordinator, and I was working as an Administrative Assistant/Peer Support Specialist. My husband and his mom have not been on speaking terms since July. Iām not going to dump the entire family tree on yāall š. Just know things between them have been BAD. We were also supposed to go to Thailand with her, but because of the issues between her and my husband, that trip basically got taken away from us. She went without us and came back literally ONE DAY before our gender reveal. She was not invited.
Now, before anybody says, āWell, thatās her sonās mom, how could you not invite her?ā there is a LOT more to that situation, and at this point, my husband and I decided we were not going to pretend everything was fine just because it was a family event. We did invite some of our coworkers, though. Fast forward to Tuesday. I get called in and told that Iām being demoted. The reason I was given?
Budget cuts.
Okay⦠sucks, but whatever. Iām trying to be an adult about it. Iām pregnant, I have bills, and obviously getting demoted is stressful, but if the company is cutting the budget, then I can at least understand that itās a business decision.
Exceptā¦
My husband and like 7 other ppl at the company got promoted the same week!! And then I was supposed to work until Friday in the office, but she sends another coworker of mine to tell me that she wants me gone the same day so my co worker can move in my space. How unprofessional!! Eventually my husband talked to his mom, and suddenly there were apparently MULTIPLE reasons for my demotion that had nothing to do with budget cuts. She allegedly told him that I had said I couldnāt lift certain items because Iām pregnant. NEVER SAID THAT! She brought up paperwork that supposedly wasnāt turned in. NEVER DID THAT! And then there was a customer complaint over the phone. BUT WAS CONFIRMED TO NOT BE ME! It was another employee.
Honestly, the part that bothers me the most isnāt even the demotion itself. Itās the possibility that something personal happening between my husband and his mother could have crossed over into my job. Because if you donāt like your son right now, thatās between yāall. If youāre mad that your sonās wife didnāt invite you to her gender reveal, okay. But my paycheck??? LEAVE MY PAYCHECK OUT OF IT. š

Me and my partner have a 20 month little girl and all live in the same house. We have had arguments so many times before as I get to a point of exhaustion and overall lose my shit with everything from doing pretty much 100% of the childcare.
He is in the army and travels further to work than I do. He commutes around 1 hour 15 each way and spends most of his time in the gym if he isnāt at work.
He does some of the housework and cooks sometimes but I do ALL nappies, bedtimes, bath times etc. I also end up eating my dinner cold to make sure our daughter eats (we all eat at the table together) I also do drop offs and pick ups every day as I also work full time.
I am at the point where I am beginning to resent him. He always say āsheās a mummyās girlā and āshe wonāt settle for meā WHICH IS BECAUSE HE DOESNT DO ANYTHING!!
Iām not sure if Iām after advice or just need to rant. But I am truly reaching my limit and I am honestly ready to walk away as I do everything on my own as is it!
Our daughter is going through a clingy stage at night and is waking several times a night (which I also do all of the night feeds and always have) where I have to be touching her for her to fall asleep. So I am EXHAUSTED!! I have explained to my partner that I am trying to stick to my guns and keep her in her cot and his only help is āshall I go in the spare bedā so I can put our daughter in our bed.
I am so so frustrated, upset and angry about everything at the moment!

Weāve been potty training our nearly 3 year old since the beginning of September and I honestly thought we would have been finished by now š
Heās fine with going in the house now but he will only go in his little potty that sits in the living room, he wonāt go on the actual toilet. He goes himself most of the time but we do still have to ask him sometimes and I feel like he holds his wees in for hours sometimes. Heās is completely fine with poos though.
The problem is heās naked from the waist down in the house. If we put anything on him he just thinks he can wee in it š pants, trousers, pyjamas etc he just doesnāt seem to understand that he still needs to use the potty. He also doesnāt really care if heās wet so I donāt know how to get him past that.
Iāve got no idea what to do when we go out either, I offer to take him to the toilet but he never goes so I just end up putting a nappy on him to go out for an easier life.
He starts nursery next week and Iām starting to panic a bit š Has anyone else had a toddler like this and how did you get them to the next stage?
Any tips would be appreciated xx
