Coincidence or Retaliation? My MIL Is the CEO and I Just Got Demoted
My MIL is a bitch😂 sorry, just had to start off with that. Okay, now that I got that out 😂 let me give y’all the backstory because I genuinely need to know if I’m being dramatic or if this is as fucked up as it feels.
My MIL is the CEO of the company I work for. My husband also works there, he’s a Coordinator, and I was working as an Administrative Assistant/Peer Support Specialist. My husband and his mom have not been on speaking terms since July. I’m not going to dump the entire family tree on y’all 😂. Just know things between them have been BAD. We were also supposed to go to Thailand with her, but because of the issues between her and my husband, that trip basically got taken away from us. She went without us and came back literally ONE DAY before our gender reveal. She was not invited.
Now, before anybody says, “Well, that’s her son’s mom, how could you not invite her?” there is a LOT more to that situation, and at this point, my husband and I decided we were not going to pretend everything was fine just because it was a family event. We did invite some of our coworkers, though. Fast forward to Tuesday. I get called in and told that I’m being demoted. The reason I was given?
Budget cuts.
Okay… sucks, but whatever. I’m trying to be an adult about it. I’m pregnant, I have bills, and obviously getting demoted is stressful, but if the company is cutting the budget, then I can at least understand that it’s a business decision.
Except…
My husband and like 7 other ppl at the company got promoted the same week!! And then I was supposed to work until Friday in the office, but she sends another coworker of mine to tell me that she wants me gone the same day so my co worker can move in my space. How unprofessional!! Eventually my husband talked to his mom, and suddenly there were apparently MULTIPLE reasons for my demotion that had nothing to do with budget cuts. She allegedly told him that I had said I couldn’t lift certain items because I’m pregnant. NEVER SAID THAT! She brought up paperwork that supposedly wasn’t turned in. NEVER DID THAT! And then there was a customer complaint over the phone. BUT WAS CONFIRMED TO NOT BE ME! It was another employee.
Honestly, the part that bothers me the most isn’t even the demotion itself. It’s the possibility that something personal happening between my husband and his mother could have crossed over into my job. Because if you don’t like your son right now, that’s between y’all. If you’re mad that your son’s wife didn’t invite you to her gender reveal, okay. But my paycheck??? LEAVE MY PAYCHECK OUT OF IT. 😂

I know 😂😂 but that’s her son so she going to look out for her family! All her kids “work” at the company.
lol you are the outsider who changed her son. This is why you are the enemy, even when your husband is a grown ass adult. To mommy dearest that’s her baby boy. Her baby boy cannot talk back. So you are the witch who manipulated him to have these thoughts against her. 😂
All I’m hearing is that you may have potential employment discrimination claim against the company and technically (legally) cannot demote you because that would be considered taken advantage against someone pego 😗if you have documentation I would bring it to her attention lol. She wanna play games then add the company to the table 💅

Anger over husband going on work trip
So for context we have a 6mo and a 2.5 year old, my husband has gone to Prague for 2 nights on a business trip. I can’t help but feel a rage inside me when I’m having a hard time putting the kids to bed and I can see he’s out having a nice dinner and having drinks at bars. I suppose I am maybe abit jealous that he gets to do these things, it causes arguments. Is it normal I feel like this?

Do you bother doing "Boo Baskets"?
My 3.5 yo is at an age where he understands each occasion and enjoys it. So he thinking a Boo basket would be nice but looking at ideas online and it's full of tat lol I don't need more clutter in the house.

Potty training tips!!
We’ve been potty training our nearly 3 year old since the beginning of September and I honestly thought we would have been finished by now 😂
He’s fine with going in the house now but he will only go in his little potty that sits in the living room, he won’t go on the actual toilet. He goes himself most of the time but we do still have to ask him sometimes and I feel like he holds his wees in for hours sometimes. He’s is completely fine with poos though.
The problem is he’s naked from the waist down in the house. If we put anything on him he just thinks he can wee in it 😂 pants, trousers, pyjamas etc he just doesn’t seem to understand that he still needs to use the potty. He also doesn’t really care if he’s wet so I don’t know how to get him past that.
I’ve got no idea what to do when we go out either, I offer to take him to the toilet but he never goes so I just end up putting a nappy on him to go out for an easier life.
He starts nursery next week and I’m starting to panic a bit 😭 Has anyone else had a toddler like this and how did you get them to the next stage?
Any tips would be appreciated xx

TWO YEAR OLD SETTLED INTO NURSERY ALMOST INSTANTLY
My two year old has just started nursery and she didint give a damn, starting yesterday she’s been doing her settling in week.
Today she damn near closed the door on me and the teacher was Happy to tell me she didn’t ask for mummy nothing…
😂😂 don’t know how I feel about that.
