Trying to be less bummed about getting a diagnosis, especially so early. One little benefit I’ve noticed is exercise keeps my blood sugar way down so I’m definitely exercising way more than I was before. Maybe I’ll end up a bit stronger by the end of this. 🫠

First of all, you need to understand that its not you, its the pregnancy hormones going crazy and making you insulin resistant. Secondly it is always better to be diagnosed so that you can be careful. You and baby will be fine. Just a bit more caution. Best of luck girl, you got this 💪

I’ve always struggled with being consistent with diet/exercise, and now that I have reached the final stage of pregnancy I feel very proud of myself for how far I’ve come. Of course that I do have one treat here or there, but it’s like once a week or even less for me now, when before I’d do it daily. Also, I haven’t gained much weight throughout this pregnancy so I’m hoping to have a smoother journey once I’m not pregnant anymore. I know it is a bit “vain” for some people, but I don’t want to look myself in the mirror and hate what is there until I can finally “bounce back”.
That said, I suppose the after pregnancy can be harder because we have been in such a strict diet that it can come and bite back. So I’m gonna try to keep the good work after the baby is here, I do want to permit myself eat what I absolutely miss, but I want to keep the treats for a weekly rather than daily basis, and just be on top of my health.

A really shallow benefit of the diagnosis for me has been my face is much less bloated from not eating refined sugar! I’ve also only put on the same weight as the baby is estimated to be. Appreciate that these are really shallow, but I was also super bummed so any little positives I’m taking! X
I’m not usually one to be impatient and I do believe babies come when they’re ready (hence getting to 42+1 in my first pregnany).
However, I have a toddler and had a previous c-section. I’m scared about how continuing to get bigger will affect my scar / possibility of it rupturing.
I am booked for an elective section if baby is not here by next Monday - but I really would prefer a VBAC (for recovery with a toddler)
Did you do anything that you truly think helped bring on labour?

Walked 15k steps today trying to get this baby out, any chance this has worked for other people?😂

I am aware that the fear I am having is irrational but I am seeking similar stories and some re-assurance. I had a private scan which I thought was 9th week, it proved to be 13+3 weeks, despite rushing to book NHS appts, I missed the window for NT check against Down Syndrome. My blood test against the syndrome at 17 weeks came back low risk, my 20 week anomaly scan showed no concerns and everything is fine, including nuchal fold in norm. However, due to the fact I had no NT checked (I realised post private scan that it was just a basic one), I am kinda freaking out as I am 40, already feel guilty that I got my dates so wrong at the start, and the private examiner asked if I planned the blood tests which felt a bit odd. It might have been just a routine question, however it's stuck with me. Any similar stories? With happy ending of course 🙈😅

Hi all,
Had my 28 week scan and baby was measuring 67th percentile overall, but head at 97th percentile.
Freaking out that something is wrong with their brain and have to wait until Thursday for my 32 week growth scan.
Had a loss at 24 weeks last year and don't think I could cope with more bad news :(

Hey! Just been diagnosed with GD, I’m not sure how I feel about it other than trying my best not to overthink! Does anyone have any tips or has anyone else had GD? 🩷
