I definitely failed my 2 hour glucose test on Tuesday this week, with numbers out of range on both my fasting and 1 hour blood draw. I may be rushing my doctor, but I messaged and called because I am going overseas in less than a week and need to know if I need to, say pick up supplies or be medicated. Is it normal for no one to reach out after a failed glucose test, or respond at all?

It took me several days to get in touch with my doctor after I failed by 3 hour test. It was very frustrating. However, my doctor wanted me to try diet control first before jumping to medication. But you will still need glucose testing supplies

I had an insurance called Kaiser. They also set me up with a RD and I looked up the right diet for GD. It’s basically about eating every few hours, small meals, and snacks and also walking after each big meal.

it took 2 days for my midwife to call. its been 4 days since my failed test and im still waiting on my glucose monitoring supplies because she messaged up sending in the authorization to my insurance. Im also supposed to travel soon and am stressed about it

Hi everyone. I had my 28 week appt today, my bp was 126/76, midwife wasn’t concerned but I searched it and says it’s slightly elevated 😭

Just a positive post to say that there is light at the end of the tunnel for those of you with babies going through the witching hours! My baby boy is now almost 8 weeks old, from around 3 weeks he was inconsolable for a couple of hours anywhere between 5pm and 9pm, but the past three nights has been so much better!
It is a haaaaarrrrdddd phase though! If you are going through it, what helped me was holding him securely while bouncing on my birthing ball and singing slowed down versions of my fave pop songs (twinkle twinkle got old v fast!) and then tapping in and out with my husband when it got too much.
Hoping I've not jinxed it with this post 😅
