I found out I was pregnant extremely early at 4 weeks and due to falling pregnant on the pill and other medical history I was seen at the epu at 4 weeks and a few days where they did my urine detected pregnancy so did a scan which they couldn’t see anything and then did my bloods. They ruled it as a pregnancy of unknown location due to my hcg being 25 and my progesterone was high too so they got me back for a scan a week later where they managed to see a small gestational sac. Then at 5 weeks 6 days on Monday I had a private scan due to pain and being able to keep any food or drink in other the weekend and the scan showed that I had a yolk sac, a foetal pole and a potential flicker of the heartbeat. The CRL was only 1.5mm, but this managed to reassure me despite having period type cramps as I was worried I had a miscarriage over the weekend and I knew I was being seen at the epu on Wednesday. I went on Wednesday and there was progression again and the CRL was now 4.4mm so in 2 days had grown and also the heartbeat was visible and able to be detected at 109bpm, and I was 6 weeks 1 day at that scan based off my last period and was measuring that. Since this the epu have discharged me as they didn’t find any concerns. However due to having a previous loss I am so worried and constantly consumed with the thoughts of loosing this baby and something going wrong. I’ve got 6 weeks until it would be my 12 week scan but I know in my head I won’t make it that far without reassurance so I will probably go for a private scan again in 2/3 weeks just for reassurance and to keep my mental health in check. I’ve attached a photo of my most recent scan but I am just so anxious that I will go next time and they’re be something wrong and the babies heart has stopped beating as I know that anything can happen at anytime. However I know the statistics can reduce each week and after seeing a heartbeat the statistics drop slightly but I’m just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as being so early and just anxious to know that everything is okay. Im also worried that babies heartbeat was too slow for what it should be. I know each persons scans can be so different and the rate of growth can be so different too but I’m just wondering if anyone has any words of encouragement and advice!
The scan posted is from my 6 weeks 1 day scan on Wednesday this week
Thank you for reading all of this if you’ve made it to the end!!🤍❤️🩹

Before I had my LO, I had had 11 miscarriages. I completely understand what you are feeling and how no amount of reassurance stops you from worrying. Just try to enjoy your pregnancy and go for as many private scans as you need to. X

I’m on pregnancy 6. I feel you! What I would say is that some people don’t see a heartbeat at 6+1. Your baby’s HB was a good HB! It’s already surprised you so far, let it do its thing in there! I’d go again in Two weeks. I’m doing the same just the have some reassurance. Give baby chance to grow xxx

Seeing the heartbeat especially so early sounds really reassuring. Personally I had 4 miscarriages and I never saw a heartbeat with any of them. So now that I had a scan at 7 weeks with a strong heartbeat it makes me think this one will finally stick and I’m so much more relaxed. Honestly if I learnt anything from my experiences of miscarriage so far is that you have no control it. Once I let go of that a lot of the anxiety went away. The way I look at it now is that I’m doing everything I know in my power to have it go well. Don’t get me wrong, I still worry (I think it’s impossible not to worry at all) but it no longer consumes me.
Congrats for seeing a heartbeat and have hope that everything will be ok in the end 🤗💗

Has anyone moved their baby from the bassinet to the pram seat yet? I know it says 6 months but depending on head/ neck strength. Wondering how early this can be done. My LO has bad reflux and hates the bassinet so being able to move from the bassinet to the seat would probably help her a lot!

Guys I guess I just need some words of encouragement right now. I’m really going through it at the moment. I’m 39+3 and I feel like I’m in the first trimester again. I’m so over this honestly I just want this baby out 😭 I’m trying to remain positive and patient but it’s really getting to me. I’ve started vomiting again, I open my bowels every time I eat, I have insomnia (hence why I’m awake at this time ) every night, every time I walk I feel like she’s about to burst through my pelvis. I’m so tired 😭

This might sound silly but does anyone know what it feels like to have your waters broken ? Does it feel like you’ve peed your self or a gush of water ? I’m just wanting to know what to expect when it does happen 😅 or does it feel different for everyone?

I’m seeing lots of people on here asking how their 6 week checks went & 8 week jabs etc, do they contact us or do we need to call to book this in?
Baby is 5 weeks + 2 days so 6 week check should be near and I haven’t heard anything.
What does the 6 week check include?
(With my drs you can’t book in advance you have to call 8:30am for a same day appointment)
