What contraception do you use post birth?
I have been given the mini pill but changed to the combined pill as I was not getting regular periods. Although the combined pill has plenty of side effects reading the leaflet.

I’m on the combined pill, was for 10 years pre pregnancy and haven’t had any of the side affects ☺️ x
It's common not to have regular periods with mini pill, but it does not mean your cycle will struggle to come back if you stop it. In fact before pregnancy when I was taking the mini pill I did not have any periods at all but came back within a month or so after stopping for TTC. Years before I had switched from combined pill to mini pill because of strong long lasting headaches with combined pill.
Everybody is different though, so you have to try and see what suits you best 😊
As I get migraines I've been progestogen only for ages and due to endometriosis part of the goal is to stop my periods. Postpartum I'm on the mini pill but likely will go back to implant when I can be bothered to book the appointment.
I had an implant and mirena before ttc and had no issues despite not having had a period in nearly 20 years

Looking for a job
I have tried thinking of everything was gonna do cleaning as its flexable but I have health conditions that I think it will effect me physically as its a tough job.
My ideal job would be a flexable work from gome I have been searching for 18 months and absolutely NOTHING :( i dont even mind hybrid or office just something flexible thag would allow me to pick my chilsren up from school or take a day off when shes ill ect..
Any ideas?!

Maternity pay
Anyone else got really rubbish maternity pay?
I get 6 weeks at 90% then the rest is statutory which barely covers bills!
I want to take atleast 8/9 months just to be with baby but it’s daunting with the lack of income.
Anyone got any money making/saving ideas?

VENTING 😡🤦🏻♂️
Honestly, I’m getting really frustrated with this app 😭 Is anyone else experiencing this?
I’ve matched/talked with a couple moms who say they’re looking for mom friends, but then as soon as we actually start texting, the conversation is SO dry. 😭 I’m genuinely putting in effort to keep the conversation going, asking questions, trying to get to know them, and sometimes it literally feels like I’m draining them just by trying to have a conversation.
And then on top of that, I’ve dealt with feeling judged for having my son in sports. Like… he LOVES being active, he enjoys the sports he’s in, and I’m just trying to keep him busy and give him things he enjoys. I don’t understand why that would be something another mom would judge me for.
I’m literally just on here because I want genuine mom friends. I’m a very friendly person, I love talking, getting to know people, doing things with our kids, having playdates, grabbing Starbucks, whatever. 🥲
It honestly makes me wonder if I should just delete the app because I’m not here to feel judged or like I have to beg someone to have a conversation with me.
Is anyone else dealing with this?? 😭

Soon to be mama, military wife - don’t have any other mom’s in my life
This is new for me to try and meet friends, so I’m hopeful to connect with someone who also feels like they need a community. I’m due late December, and I don’t know any other moms to talk to about pregnancy and baby around the corner. I just moved to Oregon from Maine because of my husbands military career, so it’s a bit lonely being somewhere where I know nobody. It’s also the first time in my life Im not working full-time.
