Does anyone else’s baby struggle to bring up wind? My LO is 4 weeks old and I’m yet to successfully wind him 😔 I’ve tried infacol but it doesn’t work and I’ve tried all the positions. I dread feeding time when I’m on my own because he just doesn’t burp, if I have my partner or family around they normally do it for me. It’s really getting me down, as I don’t want him being uncomfortable, sometimes hes fine and doesn’t need winding and can settle but other times I can tell he does but I just struggle doing it. Any tips or advice welcome!

My babies 4 weeks old too, I’m also in the same boat. I was told to sit baby on knee and gently rock back and forwards and circular motion. I’ve been successful with that once. I also dread feeding time for this reason. Also would love anyone else’s burping tips x

Your definitely not alone, I find I end up passing my baby to my mum or husband, but husbands back at work Sunday so going to have to keep working on it. My baby resists and cries too and she’s really challenging to handle when trying to burp her. I’m hoping as she gets older it’ll get easier xx

I would also be interested on tips for this as my one week old does not burp after most feeds. He will sometimes be able to and I’ve just started giving infracol hopefully this will make a difference!

My baby boy 4 weeks and has struggled with trapped gas since 2 weeks due to his CMPA..
Sucessful tricks i have tried are-
Belly massage from top to bottom just rubbing gently in circles and tapping on belly to break up gas
Bicycle legs (some babies prefer to fart thsn burp)
Hold with arm wrapped around chest and legs/ belly dangling and move around abit (still supoorting their head. sit on lap and burp
Tapping from bottom of back up to top X2 then rubbing jn firm circular motions
Hey guys, I’m due on the 20th and have seen lots of people say they don’t want inductions, sweeps etc, is there any reason for this? I’d love to know different opinions as I’m so open to anything, thank you 🫶🏻

Had my 20 week Scan today. They couldn’t get a proper view of baby’s heart so asked us to return next week, everything else looked fine. And I also have a low lying placenta. Anyone else have this?

I went into triage today after having reduced movements after my sweep yesterday. They have offered for me to be induced tomorrow morning. They said my waters are bulging and that i am already 4cm dilated. But not in active labour.
They said they were gonna break my waters and try the balloon. I had a previous c section before and was really hoping for a VBAC this time: does anyone have any words of wisdom? Am i making the right choice in being induced?

I’ve had one emergency c section and I was under a general anaesthetic so I don’t really know what it’s like. I also didn’t really have any issues with recovery other than lots of bleeding for way too long. I’m planning to have another one with next baby but I don’t really know what I’m in for. Can you tell me all your experiences, how did it go, good and bad! I want to have my eyes open!

37 weeks pregnant and still waiting for my date. Seems very common not to get the date until the week before the actual op but I’m getting fed up not knowing😩 Anyone else feel the same!?😬

Last night around 11:30 PM, (after trying to go to sleep since 10, but was to uncomfortable) I started having some pretty intense contractions. I wasn’t timing them at first, but once they got bad enough to start tracking, they were about 1 minute long and roughly 4 minutes apart. They continued getting more intense and were honestly unbearable for a while.
We went to the hospital and were put on a monitor. they tried to check my cervix, but unfortunately they couldn’t reach it(the nurse had the shortest fingers you could possibly imagine and in my prior pregnancy they also struggled to reach my cervix even at 39 weeks!!), so we don’t know if there has been any cervical change. They gave me an IV saline drip(I was not and have not been dehydrated I’ve been drinking atleast 90floz of water a day), and after that the contractions started to calm down. By around 4 AM, they were about 10 minutes apart and much more bearable.
This morning I had a few random contractions, but nothing consistent or nearly as intense and they seemed to have gone away now.
Completely freaked out 🥴
