The magic belt!

Hey mamas. Who else is dealing with pubic bone pain?

I do yoga and Pilates in my second trimester, and I didn’t feel the pain. I’m currently 30 weeks along and the pain has been so bad, especially just trying to get out of bed. While I’m waiting on my OB’s referral for physical therapy, my mom suggested I try a pelvic support belt.

guess what?! I’ve only been wearing it for a little bit and the pain is already so much better. It feels like a total miracle!

Has anyone else used one? Would love to hear what else helped you get through the final weeks!

It's been soooo bad this week for me 31.3.
Chiropractic adjustments and KT tape have worked wonders!

Yess I literally just called my doctor about this this morning. Google said to rest it, spread my legs as little as possible, and avoiding stretching. Didn’t sound right to me. But doctor didn’t have amazing advice either

I LOVE my band. It has saved me for weeks. I also do Pilates and yoga, but baby lays LOW so it’s been a life savior to relieve some pressure and pain.
I’ve found some light movement on a yoga ball has helped too. I met with a pelvic floor therapist too for breathing exercises that I do on the yoga ball, it’s been so much better. Hoping this all stays helpful through the last few weeks (I’m 31 weeks)

Pelvic floor physical therapist said the band is really big in stabilizing those things that start to shift because of an increase in relaxin hormone. The reason you should avoid separating legs while doing things because it destabilizes stuff. She recommended getting out of bed or the car and things both legs at a time. But the band while help keep surrounding muscles from straining to keep things in place or pulling stuff farther off balance.

First time labour!

Hey guys, I’m due on the 20th and have seen lots of people say they don’t want inductions, sweeps etc, is there any reason for this? I’d love to know different opinions as I’m so open to anything, thank you 🫶🏻

Induced?

I went into triage today after having reduced movements after my sweep yesterday. They have offered for me to be induced tomorrow morning. They said my waters are bulging and that i am already 4cm dilated. But not in active labour.
They said they were gonna break my waters and try the balloon. I had a previous c section before and was really hoping for a VBAC this time: does anyone have any words of wisdom? Am i making the right choice in being induced?

20 Week Scan

Had my 20 week Scan today. They couldn’t get a proper view of baby’s heart so asked us to return next week, everything else looked fine. And I also have a low lying placenta. Anyone else have this?

Tell me what it’s like

I’ve had one emergency c section and I was under a general anaesthetic so I don’t really know what it’s like. I also didn’t really have any issues with recovery other than lots of bleeding for way too long. I’m planning to have another one with next baby but I don’t really know what I’m in for. Can you tell me all your experiences, how did it go, good and bad! I want to have my eyes open!

C-section date

37 weeks pregnant and still waiting for my date. Seems very common not to get the date until the week before the actual op but I’m getting fed up not knowing😩 Anyone else feel the same!?😬

Preterm contractions

Last night around 11:30 PM, (after trying to go to sleep since 10, but was to uncomfortable) I started having some pretty intense contractions. I wasn’t timing them at first, but once they got bad enough to start tracking, they were about 1 minute long and roughly 4 minutes apart. They continued getting more intense and were honestly unbearable for a while.

We went to the hospital and were put on a monitor. they tried to check my cervix, but unfortunately they couldn’t reach it(the nurse had the shortest fingers you could possibly imagine and in my prior pregnancy they also struggled to reach my cervix even at 39 weeks!!), so we don’t know if there has been any cervical change. They gave me an IV saline drip(I was not and have not been dehydrated I’ve been drinking atleast 90floz of water a day), and after that the contractions started to calm down. By around 4 AM, they were about 10 minutes apart and much more bearable.

This morning I had a few random contractions, but nothing consistent or nearly as intense and they seemed to have gone away now.

Completely freaked out 🥴
