“You can’t over feed a breast fed baby”

It’s well known that breast fed babies are typically roly poly’s, is the above actually a rule, and if so until what age?

My boy is BF and still is at 15 months. He has a very healthy appetite for solids too and hes never been a rollypolly. Hes not skinny though, but just right

If fed directly from the breast no you can’t, until any age.

I fed my first for 25 months, he was born 9lb 11 and was a chunk until he walked then he was a beanpole from around 16/17 months and still feeding every 1-2 hours plus 3 meals and 2 snacks.

My second EBF born 11lb, is 21lb at 5 months, huge for his age and feeds 1/4 of what his brother did yet is twice the size he ever was.

There’s just as many ‘rolly polly’ formula fed babies. All babies are different genetically no matter how they’re fed x

They'll just be sick if they have too much 😅

Mine arent roly poly babies & all have been bf until minimum 6months. Just depends on the baby x

Because your breastmilk changes continuously throughout each feed, they cant be overfed. They get the fatty milk at the start and by the end of the feed its much thinner, more hydration than nutrition. But bottled milk is the same all the way through and bottles drip so they dont have to actively suck, which makes overfeeding easier.

What do you really need for breastfeeding?

I’m looking up and getting ads for a million things, and it’s hard to know what women ACTUALLY USE while breastfeeding and what is just useless crap. I’ve heard nipple cream/butter is a great help, but I have no clue. Let me know what you all love and use.

Active sleeper

Has anyone else got experience of this...my 4.5 month old baby is extremely active during his "light sleep" phases. He sleeps like a log for an hour/hour and half or so after putting him down and then he starts to flail about, I'm assuming as he goes into a light sleep phase. He's asleep whilst he doing this (legs and arms flapping about, rubbing his face etc) but if he's left on his own he will wake himself up, so I have to pick him up and rock him until he goes back into a deep sleep again. For ages I thought it was because he was struggling with gas but I don't think it's that anymore. I'm already co-sleeping with him but only getting max 90 mins sleep at a time and I'm pretty exhausted. Haa anyone else had this with their baby? Does it improve once they can roll about and get comfortable? 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sleeping is out the window

Baby (10m) used to sleep amazingly but this week has been hell. I’ve just spent the last 2.5 hours trying to get him back to bed. Every night this week has been a battle. He goes down as usual but is waking at 11 and demanding our bed. After about 40 minutes I manage to get him back down but then he’s up again at 1 and that’s the biggest battle of the night. Taking hours to get him back to sleep then awake again around 5/6. I’m getting about 2 hours of sleep at night because I get so frustrated with how tired I am I can’t get back to sleep and end up lying awake, feeling nauseous from exhaustion and I don’t know what to do to get him back to his normal sleep pattern. I can’t function on this little sleep 😭

Baby transfer issues

I really need some advice! my girl is four months old and ever since she was born we’ve had a transfer issue from mine or my partners chest to the next to me crib we’ve done everything like wait for a deep sleep, bottom first then head when lowering, hand on chest you name it and she still wakes up and cries!! How on earth do I move past this :/
