I honestly am surprised- I’m 36 weeks and measuring 6lbs 6oz and apparently I’m around 50th centile!
Best of luck but if they think she’s measuring big you may either be induced early or taken a bit further and then recommended to have a c-section.

My baby boy is also measuring big 6.3 at 34 weeks and my bump is also measuring big as he has too much fluid around him. Im being induced from week 39

I was 34 and 2 at my last scan and she was 5lb10oz and they said thats 77 centile. Not too big. Maybe its different at different trusts? Not sure.

A friend of mine had a similar situation, her baby was in the 99th percentile, a couple of weeks later baby had slowed down in growth and was born way less than they had anticipated. It’s all an estimate!

They will probably want to book another growth scan for a couple weeks time and maybe induce you around 38 weeks if baby is still estimated to be big. Growth may slow down! Did you have a test gestational diabetes? They may want to do that or repeat the test. But they know now and will take good care of you. Hope everything goes well x

I'm also surprised, at my last growth scan at 35 weeks he was measuring at 6lbs and that was around the 66th percentile which they said was perfect.

It does depend on how they're measuring, via ultrasound or by measuring your belly, our consultant said he really doesn't trust the belly measurements and also the NHS use different data to plot your growth. This also depends on your ethnicity etc.

Sounds about right to me, I am being induced at 39 weeks because of family history and IVF pregnancy.

Good luck

Im 32 weeks and my baby girl at my last scan (last week) was 4lb 7oz and they have said that she is going to be a big girl.

My girl was 4lbs 4oz at 32 weeks and she was 84.5 centile. I've got my 36 week scan today so will see what she is today? I don't feel like my belly has grown too much but will see? 👶🏻

Surprised that they are saying she is big, that sounds like she’s right on track at 35 weeks. I was told at 32 weeks my baby was 5 pounds 13 which does translate to 99th centile. They estimate babies put on half a pound a week, so with 5 weeks to go that’s 2.5 pounds which is roughly 8.5 pounds which is perfect 🥰 I wouldn’t worry x

At my 32 weeks scan (32 weeks and 5 day scan ) yesterday, I was told my daughter already weights 4.9lbs. I don’t know if this is big lol 😂 xx

I had my first at 17 and I say go with your gut. Do what you think will be best for you and your baby.

They said this to me all along, kept telling me he was ‘measuring bigger than average’ said I’d have a prem baby, I was induced at 37+1, has him at 37+2 and he weighed a healthy 7lb 10oz xx

Avatar

At my 32 week scan baby was 5lb 9oz and they said that was 60th centile! Maybe ask for a second opinion or another scan because that seems normal weight to me xx

Low lying placenta

Was told I have a low lying placenta at my 20w scan(5mm from cervix) and when I asked them if it was ok to fly the next week (3h flight) they were a bit vague so now I am confused. Has anyone been flying with a very low lying placenta?

is anyone in the same boat as me? 😭🩷

Is anyone else in a similar situation and just absolutely winging it at this point? 😭😂

I have an 8½ month old who has decided that sleep is completely optional. She barely naps during the day and is waking constantly through the night, sometimes staying awake for hours. She’s absolutely exhausted but will fight sleep with everything in her tiny body 😭 I’m trying everything and honestly I’m at the point where I don’t even know what to do anymore.

On top of that, I’ve got quite a few health issues that have been really kicking my arse lately and making it difficult to function normally. And now I’m pregnant again on top of all of it 🥲 I’m exhausted, constantly struggling to keep up with everything, and some days I genuinely feel like I’m barely keeping my head above water.

I love my wee girl more than anything and I know this is just a season, but I’m so physically and mentally drained. I feel like I’m constantly trying to look after everyone while having absolutely nothing left in the tank myself.

I know there probably isn’t a magic answer or much advice anyone can give, but I think I’d feel so much better just knowing I’m not the only one in this boat. ❤️

Are there any other mums who are dealing with awful sleep, pregnancy, health problems, or just generally feeling like they’re struggling to function? How are you coping? 😭

Belly Button

Hi all,

Little ones cord fell off last night, today it looks like she has a little stump. Does anyone know what this could be?

Midwife is due to come out tomorrow so will ask her but intrigued in the meantime to see what you all think

Postpartum period - tmi

I had a c section 6 weeks ago Monday and am bottle feeding. All bleeding had stopped, just had pads for some small mucus discharge.
I got my period back at 5 weeks and 6 days.
Now I’m debating if it is a period. I’m 5 days in and it is shocking - it’s so heavy I’m wearing night pads in the day and postpartum pants overnight. Doesn’t appear to be letting up.
Has anyone else had this?
I was silly and googled, half responses are that it’s normal to have a heavy period and other half mentions postpartum haemorrhage 😭
I don’t want to go the the Gp as they’ll ask me to go to the hospital which is an hour away and I have no support for my 3 year old and 6 week old
