Advice??

So my daughter is going through this funny little phase where she screams bloody murder before she is exhausted and eventually falls asleep. I’ve tried rocking, swaying, bouncing, burping, feeding and then burping, going outside, changing and eventually after 30-45 minutes she falls asleep on my chest. Transferring her during naps is absolutely a no go in her world. She sleeps fine in her cradle after we do our bath and bed routine. I mean I can feed her, change her diaper and burp her, lay her in the bedside cradle and she passes out sucking her thumb. She has her two month wellness check and I’m definitely going to mention it to her pediatrician. I feel like her screaming the way she’s been is not in her realm of normal. There’s no fever, she doesn’t seem sick and eats completely normal aside from when she gets like this when she’s tired.

Is anyone else going through this?? Seriously. Idk if it’s me or if I’m just doing everything wrong.

I want to start a group chat as well. I’m located in PA and would LOVE to make some friends in my area.

You are not alone! I chuckle because I just lay my daughter down after the same scenario you described- the complete melt down cry. I think they are overly exhausted when that happens, still figuring out how to sleep or if sleep will come to them, and mom’s body is still their safest space. I feel defeated when it happens when I am exhausted and have tried everything and know they are good to go. For the most part I can tell she is just trying to sleep and gets frustrated when it doesn’t come so easily especially since they are already sleeping a lot at this stage. Don’t have any advice but definitely can relate!

You’re not alone. It’s the newest thing my son started doing this week. I think he gets overly tired and just doesn’t know what to do or we are not engaging with him and he’s exhausted and he wants our attention.

Google "witching hours".... sounds like thats what you're experiencing with your little one

Wait! Is this just a July baby thing cause why is my baby doing this too! The last two weeks were so hard, but this week she's been way better?? Idk what I did lol but I'm taking note maybe it was a regression and she's out of it now??

My little guy is going through the same thing. Except his is only with bedtime. He will sleep for 20 to 30 minutes and then wake up crying and screaming. It takes me about 30 minutes to calm him back down and get him to actually go into a deep sleep. I've tried different bedtimes, and keeping a consistent routine but it seems to be something he phases in and out of

Binky after 6+ months?

So my son has recently turned 6 months and a week or so. I wanted to know what you guys are doing binky wise? Are you weening or ? Because I have only been letting or giving him his when he cry’s super bad having a hard time sleeping or if he grabs it himself. Doing it this way I have noticed him slowly put the binky down himself but maybe I’m moving too early?

Unbelievable

My MIL told my husband that I should be breastfeeding(nursing) and that pumping is not the right way to feed my baby….
Anyone else thinks that’s wild??

How do I tell my boyfriend I need more help with our baby?

My infant is 8 weeks old and I love her more than anything but it’s getting a little overwhelming as I feel like a single mom sometimes. My boyfriend is in school and he works part time which I understand he can’t help but during the night he never gets up to feed her a bottle and I am barely getting any sleep. During the day when he is home he is mostly playing video games and only really helps for maybe an hour or two. I have her all day which is also hard because she is in the habit of not wanting to sleep in her bassinet but on me so I honestly never have time to take a nap, shower or even cook sometimes. I tried bringing it up but it just made him feel bad and nothing changed. I would love advice on how to talk to him about this without making him upset.

Velcro babies

How is everyone getting their velcro babies to nap independently during the day?? My little guy is 7 weeks and pretty much only contact naps. On occasion he’ll do a very quick nap in the crib but has trouble connecting his sleep cycles and this usually only lasts 30 minutes and we finish the nap with a contact nap. I’m an exhausted mom and just need to get some sleep when he does during the day 😴. We’ve tried all the things, heating pad in the bassinet to make it warm before the transfer, replicating his bedtime routine, sound machine, swaddle, etc.

Strollers

I am overwhelmed by the amount of strollers options and prices, I have a 3 month old and I would like an easier stroller to take in and out of the car that has pockets and big storage space underneath. Any recommendations? Also something that I would be able to add a second kid in the future.
