Hi! My baby is 9 week old and we’ve currently moving house so our mattress in on the floor at the moment as we’ve packed everything up but still have a few days till we move (was supposed to be moving sooner but there’s been an issue that set us back a couple days)
we’ve been co-sleeping the past couple nights but I barely get any sleep as I just worry and she doesn’t sleep very good anyways, but since we’ve on the floor for some reason she’s slept like 12hrs with 1 wake up for a bottle
Not sure if we should maybe try her on a floor bed to herself when we move or if she’s too young? We’d keep her in our room obviously just wondering if it’s maybe worth a try? Or would it just be the same as putting her in the next to me?

Be careful of mould under mattress! Don’t leave on floor too long/air out everyday

I would say it could just be coincidence, my lo slept through randomly one night from 9 weeks old and (touch wood) has done ever since

I personally think she’s way too young for this. I wouldn’t do it myself

Hi everyone!
I found myself in a VERY unique situation 2 months ago. I found out I was pregnant with my baby boy, literally the night before I officially gave birth to him. I had all of 16 hours to mentally and emotionally prepare myself to bring another life into the world. Mind you. He is my first (and hopefully only) child. There are no words to describe the mental change that took place while finding out about my cryptic pregnancy, especially after being my entire life, that I would NEVER be capable of having children. Is there anyone else out there, who has gone through this?

Hi Mamas, please help me here. I am absolutely tired and devastated. My baby is continuously refusing to lay down flat, even if we cosleep from 4 weeks old. I can’t do it anymore. He is 11 weeks old and I cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. He sleeps really well, but will only sleep in our arms. He may give a 1-2 hour stretch at night laying flat but can sleep for 8 hours if in arms. I have tried cosleeping, that did not work as well. Pediatricians keep saying it’s normal. How is this normal?

I’m a first time and stay at home mum.
Mentally I’m not doing very well.
Wondering if anyone else has struggled and how they coped.

My baby is 9 months old for reference.
So, we co sleep (following safe sleep regulations) as he will not settle, relax or sleep in a cot or next-to-me-cot. I have tried sleep training but it gets nowhere. I am also a single mum which means I have to deal with the repercussions of every failed attempt alone with a baby who already sleeps awfully. Point is, co sleeping works for us... usually.
Anyway, baby was fast asleep and far away from the edge of the bed. I put the monitor on so I could nip to the toilet. I noticed him beginning to stir so I hopped off and rushed back, but it was already too late as I heard that dreaded 'Thud.'
He cried immediately and was very distressed. I could not see any red marks on his face/head or body. He was on his arms and legs when I found him so I'm praying he broke his own fall. He settled relatively quickly. No breathing issues, no weird movement, no weird pupils, no floppiness, no confusion other than 'what just happened?!'
He is currently playing and crawling/climbing as normal, fully engaged and not confused or overly tired. No vomiting or anything. He has had 2 wees and a nice big bottle and its been about an hour since the fall.
I know I should call 111 but my fear is that they will ask us to come in. I cant get to the hospital. My parents are the only people I know with a licence but both of them have been out drinking.
Worst case; I imagine they'd offer to send paramedics out or an ambulance but knowing the NHS that will take hours and then get cancelled or just never show (not the workers fault.) My baby already has a cold so I really dont want to give him a night of broken sleep and stress if its likely enough to be fine?
There is no symptoms or changes to raise concern but I am also aware that you cannot rule out an injury without proper assessment 🫠🫠 I just don't know what to do.
