Genetics Test

I am 13 weeks pregnant, and at 12 weeks, my doctor suggested a genetics test because of my age. It is Saturday night, and I am supposed to get the results on Tuesday. I am really worried because I feel like I am very far along to make any decisions, and I have just been stewing over this for over a week. I go to a doctor who is very popular but hard to get a hold of, and i am not sure I like her. I just am stuck waiting for weeks and not sure what to do, but wait and tough it out with this doctor.

I completely understand the worry when I got mine I had a full melt down bc I was a carrier of many genetic disorders. What really made me not so worried about it is it will only affect the child if both mom and dad are carriers of the same thing. It’s definitely stressful and not easy to go through. But once I received the info I was able to process and really figure out the best plans either way. It’s a shock sometimes and easier said then done of course to tell you not to stress about it too much. (I sure stressed about it) but it’s really good info to have in the long run. Also if you aren’t happy with your doctor you should definitely switch when you can/ if you can. Your support team should feel like your being supported

Hi Sarah, I’m sorry you’ve been in what seems like a limbo the last week or so. You should always feel heard and you should trust and like your provider. If those things aren’t happening then it can really affect your experience in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
As far as the results and any decisions that may need to happen after, I find that sometimes these results can help with getting more informed and planning for different possibilities. It may be that all is okay, and I hope it is. I know that doesn’t change the anxiety and anticipation of waiting for the final results though. Try to lean into more self care the next couple of days 🧡

Advice

I’m 10 weeks postpartum,
We tried doing the duty (sorry don’t know how to word things in here), and right away it hurt. Like sharp sore pain.

Can this be normal after a c-section??

Growth Scan Accuracy

Just wanting to hear from mum’s who had growth scans that they then acted on eg induction/ c sections and whether babies birth weight reflected the estimated weight at scans!

Thanks 🤍

Anyone else trying to buy struggling to get pregnant again?

We’ve managed to conceive again after 5 months of trying but this sadly ended in an early miscarriage we’ve tried again with the m/c being 3 months ago and still no luck

Natural inducing methods

Give me all your tips and tricks please! Due October 27th and they want to induce me on the 20th so I’m starting to stress. I really wanted to go into this birth without having to be induced.
