Our baby shower is in 19 days and theres only been 7 things bought off our registry... i cant help but be a little upset. ive heard other parents say similar things about their registries being ignored and i just feel like im doing something wrong?? we're going to be thankful for everything we're gifted of course but i dont understand why people wouldnt want to get things we're specifically asking for when theyre going to get a gift anyway..... how did your registries turn out? is there something i can do to boost it more? please help :(

I try to give everyone the benefit of doubt. It seems that everyone is struggling financially these days. I've had 3 things purchased from my registry and only two people who have rsvp'd for what was going to be my baby shower. I'm trying not to take it personally but it is easier said than done. It's honestly cheaper to buy something for $8 when you're already at Walmart vs $8+ shipping + gift wrap on amazon

A lot of our registry was said that it was bought like the day of the shower or day before. But also people don’t always look at it. They just go to the store and get whatever.

I also would make sure there are just essentials on the list. And now 200 things of things that could be fun. Just put essentials or the things you’re really wanting for the people that actually get it they’ll know it’s important

I found a lot of people gave a little bit of money which allowed us to buy the stuff off our registry after the baby shower

Some people think they know best. With my son, I made a registry with 50 items, most under $20. My sister decided we needed a bottle sanitizer. I told her no and that we would just use a large pot and sanitize the bottles the old fashioned way. She ignored us and got the sanitizer. It is hurtful.
I’ve been in the other position where I found a great deal at the store or another online retailer. I will ask that person that if it’s okay if they take the item off the registry, so I can get it cheaper. I have not been told no, but always nice to ask.
I will say that some people forget and will get gifts last minute. I would do a text to people, saying how excited you are for your shower 2 weeks before and not to forget to rsvp. That may remind people to buy something.

Same thing happened to me, my MIL ended up being the one who bought most of the things off our registry as she likes buying people things no matter the occasion. But people brought diapers when I specifically said not to (there was a specific brand I wanted and we already had them) if there’s anything you get that you don’t want, target takes back stuff that are in unopened boxes/packages such as diapers and bottles, as long as they sell it in the store they will take it. That’s where I took the diapers I got and didn’t want

Yes, they give cash or store credit. Just tell them it was things you got from a baby shower and don’t have the receipt and they will take it as long as you have an ID (because they record how many returns you’ve made without receipts and only take up to $500 from one person)

We had a lot of people by stuff that was on our registry but not from the registry link so I had to go back and mark it as purchased. It was an amazon registry and I know a couple people found the same items in stores for cheaper.
She’s too pushy and I’ve said no endless times. It’ll be very stressful for him. I don’t pump because I don’t like it and my baby doesn’t like bottles. I’m currently trying to break nurse-sleep association. It doesn’t make any sense to attempt a sleepover because it’ll be just stressful for baby and I. I just can’t be asked to keep saying NO. It’s almost harassment. I said it’ll eventually happen once I’m back to work, not while I’m in mat leave as I don’t want to be away from my son yet. How can I approach this in a friendly way? She’s just too much sometimes and I’ve been very friendly and open about the idea, but not about the timing.

I’ve returned to work and my breast fed baby girl will NOT take to any bottle. I have tried so many. Any suggestions?

Due in 2 weeks, what is better for postpartum for bleeding? Using pads or diapers?

My baby girl is 3 months and already so curious, grabbing things she shouldn’t, touching things that are a bit dirtier than I would like eg the floor and the rugs lol. Then she puts her hands straight in her mouth. I plan to keep sterilising her bottles etc for a while.
But curious when to stop, because at some point they are digesting bacteria anyways? Or is it still important to sterilise up until 1 year because of milk bacteria etc?

Is mounjaro allowed to be taken whilst breastfeeding? I’m not on it yet, but considering it as it’s the only thing that helps me lose some weight due to my health conditions.

I’m SURE it’s been asked before, but I’m over a year postpartum and still have no feeling in my scar area. I sometimes get an intense itch that can only stop with wicked hot water but that’s it. Anyone else have the same?
