Separation anxiety/sleep at night

I am honestly at my breaking point. My son is almost 11months old and he has been waking up 3-10 times a night crying and needing to be held until he’s in a deep sleep. This has been going on for a month now and I feel like a horrible mom because I get so frustrated at night. Any advice or does it ever get better?

-defeated first time mom😔

Co sleep?

That is so hard and totally understandable why you’d be feeling frustrated and exhausted. Have you talked to your pediatrician about it? Can also talk to a sleep consultant or OT to make sure everything else is looking good and supporting sleep. I’m happy to talk too!

My advice is to get a travel neck pillow and set of cozy blankets to use while you are doing this. If you need to be up doing it, at least be comfortable. He could specifically be teething or have growing pains, but mostly he just needs comfort. Its ok to feel frustrated, it sucks, but it also makes the bond between you two rock solid. It gets better, but it takes a while. Hang in there. ❤️

First of all, getting frustrated is absolutely normal. When sleep deprived we have an especially short patience and therefore, get easily frustrated. So you’re not a bad mom for having a natural reaction, one we all have been at

For me personally the life saver was co sleeping. This way they found me when they woke up and we all were back to sleep within a couple minutes
I still switch over to their room at night, because I think it’s way to tiring to get up again to go back to my bed 😂. And now they slowly start to be sleeping through the night 🤷🏻‍♀️
