Hello, I’m here for some advice on terrible twos. My toddler has been terrible recently. It’s so bad to the point that I feel guilty that we don’t do much together eg. Go out to the park, go to town ect.
I am exhausted. He is constantly screaming, crying, biting, hitting, slapping, kicking, punching, pinching and spitting. I feel like I’ve tried everything. I try help him regulate his emotions but it doesn’t help, if I get to low to his level I end up slapped, spat on or punched. I tried sitting him in time out, but that also doesn’t work. I tried explaining his actions to him and why it’s not acceptable but he just finds it funny.
I feel like I have one of those toddlers from the show “supernanny”.
Every time we go out together I have to bring the buggy. If I don’t I put myself through hell. He won’t hold my hand at all. If I try holding his hand he will bite my hand. Pinch my hand. Throw himself to the floor. If we go out for food together he spends the time screaming, throwing the food or completely ignoring the instructions I give him.
If I don’t let him have something because he is not allowed it. He screams, kicks, punches, slaps, bites, he honestly does it all
I am honestly so exhausted. It all came out of no where. I feel like a terrible mum because I’m unable to manage my own child. He doesn’t listen at all, find everything absolutely hilarious. I feel like I’m constantly counting down the hours to nap time and bed time.
We have good moment during the day however most of the time it’s terrible. I honestly don’t know what to do anymore. I’m out of ideas.

I hardly ever comment on here, but I saw this coming up on my notifications and I felt I had to respond to this.
I was in your shoes 2 years ago with my then 2 year old boy. It started when he turned 2 and it was just constant crying from when he opened his eyes until bed time. I was absolutely at my wits end, I seriously thought that he was on a spectrum and I ended up in therapy.
However, it was just him having his big feelings, and by 3.5 he outgrew them. Now he’s the best behaved boy I could ask for and I’m feeling so guilty for not understanding enough when he was 2 for what he was going through so that I could have supoorted him better, but when I was in it it was just so tough.
Best of luck to you and I really hope it gets better soon xx

Currently going through this too i bearly leave the house anymore as im just anxious and embarrassed at every tantrum, makes it harder having a 5 month old that i BF too so if my hands arent free all hell breaks loose.. just know youre nit the only one but im lost too just ordered the book " tiny humans big emotions" as ive had that suggested by a few mothers in a playgroup
We made a sensory/quiet space too so he could get away and calm if he wanted to but didnt work

Same here. Sometimes he severity of the tantrums makes me feel that she's possessed 🫠 it's unreal.
I noticed when we stopped screen time completely the tantrums reduced but still there 😅
I wish us all the strength to get over this stage 🙏🏻

All i can offer is the obvious, dont react to the bad behaviour but really praise the good even tiny things. "You were so good today crossing the road" but say it again before bedtime, highlight all the good things. If you are out and hes having tantrum on floor, just sit/kneel silently whilst hes doing it, then when he stops just say, ok then lets go now.
Worth noting they can be teething now too. My lo is getting her 2 molars through at the back and shes playing up compared to what she is normally like xx
My baby has been having this on his gum for weeks now and the gp said it’s nothing but I’m so worried.
Has ever come across this before? I’m soo worried. Not sure if it’s affecting his feeding.. but he eats ok.

Hi, throughout duration of my pregnancy the husband has been rude and inconsiderate. He has forgotten my birthday and our anniversary.
I’m not sure if obedience school is an option at this age because he is 40 now and beyond the point of training age.
Any tips or helpful tricks to mediate his autonomy at this time ?

Hey all,
This is just a rant I apologise in advance and I’m posting anonymously because I’m carrying so much shame for this but I need to say it out loud… being a mama is tough!!!!
Doing it solo since my LO was 6 weeks old and I’ve got so many positives happening right now, a new home I’m decorating and getting ready to move into with my little boy, life should feel lighter. But the to do list, with an 8, almost 9 month old who’s been battling a cold for a week, sleepless nights, grumpy days, I’m burnt out.
I’ve tried talking to my own mum but she questions how I’m going to cope being on my own with him (we are currently at my parents) and when I try to talk to her when I get a little overwhelmed, she responds in ways that highlight why I shouldn’t be struggling and it makes me shut down and say less.
Please tell me I’m not alone having hard days? I’m like a bottle of pop constantly being shook with nowhere to put it, so I’m posting this on here whilst crying on the toilet. 🤦🏼♀️
Please be gentle.

Are you guys genuinely giving your baby your undivided attention all day?? My baby is fine with independent play on his mat so often times I let him just play (obviously I’m nearby paying attention) but if he’s not crying I just let him be. I use this time to clean whatever room I’m in or just relax for a second. Is that bad?? For 5 months he’s where he should be milestone wise I think. Rolling both ways, rocking back and forth getting ready to crawl, sits up mostly unsupported.. I just feel guilty like should I be playing with him all day?? Or is independent play a good skill to have?? And yes I do play with him, and if he’s crying I pick him up and comfort him and play with him in my lap.

So my bf has told me "you've let yourself go" and "im not attracted to you " I had my baby 5 months ago. I do everything on my own (hes gone 5 days a week) I have no family here. When hes home he doesnt do much. My baby doesnt take a bottle so I cant even go to the nail salon. I am a stay at home mom. Im starting up my business with a 5 month old. And my bd just sent me a photo of me when I was prepragancy..... he didmt say anything just sent a mirror butt selfie I had taken. Im upset. I was 196 when I got pregnant and im down to 217. I cant count calories due to breast feeding and I've just expressed that for the last 4 months I've had the baby blues. Like how you yall feel?
