Middle Name Inspiration

I have to register my baby in two weeks, but still haven’t decided on the middle name. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking of giving her something of a biblical meaning. But I’m open to other types of names too (just something with a nice meaning) x

My daughter hasn’t got a middle name. Instead she’s got a double barrelled first name x

My daughters middle names are Dawn and Bernadette

My middle names were inspired by family who were no longer with us.

So we had Mia-Rose (Maria and Rosaria my Auntie and Nan) if we had a girl or Anthony (my Dads name) for a boy.

We actually went for Antonio as my Grandad who is alive is Emilio. But he’s played such a significant part of my life I wanted to honour him too.

So my son’s middle name is full of meaning and a special part of my own history ☺️

And these middle names inspired the first names we chose. Like what went well with them. What the initials would be etc.

My son’s middle name is Neil which is his dad’s middle name and his grandad’s first name.
The middle name I had picked for a girl was Marie as it’s my mum’s middle name.
Mine is Elizabeth after my gran who passed away 9 months before I was born.

I personally love middle names in general but for me they have to have meaning as well as sounding nice with the first and last name.

Priscilla is a pretty biblical name. 💗 Priscilla appears mainly in Acts 18, Romans 16:3–5, 1 Corinthians 16:19, and 2 Timothy 4:19.

We chose our second choice baby name as a middle name. We had no strong connection to family members we wanted to honour so went with names we loved.

What is her first name? So it flows

C-Section Date

Hey!!

I am having an elected C-section for a few reasons but one being my anxiety.

I was initially told I would get a date around 39 weeks but I’ve just been told it could be 41 weeks instead.

It’s really shocked me as I think this runs a risk of her coming naturally as well as now adding 2 weeks to her due date (39 weeks now being 41).

Does anyone have any experience or advice on how to manage this kind of news and how their c-section date booking went?

Please note - I’m aware I could get a date and it be moved due to emergencies but I didn’t expect this huge change.

Delivery decisions

Hey everyone!

I’m currently weighing up a scheduled c section verses being induced (first time mum, I have gestational diabetes, baby is measuring big, high blood pressure, high bmi and various other factors for this)

I know there’s no real ‘better choice’ but I’d love to hear your stories to help me decide!

How was your experience, your recovery ect?

Thank you!

12 week scan - so clinical

Hello,

I’ve just had my 12 week scan. When we started baby was doing a head stand, so had to walk around for 30 minutes. When I came back, the baby was still in an unfavourable position, but could just about get measurements after doing an internal scan. I came out feeling a bit disheartened as she didn’t really say much during the scan, or after, to make me feel reassured everything was fine. I had to ask her after if everything was ok and she just said yes all fine. Am I just overthinking things or did anyone else find it just so “clinical” and one in one out kind of thing. It’s a shame because I’ve had some private scans and I was made to feel so comfortable and reassured there, but the NHS scan just made me come out with anxiety even though nothing was said to be wrong.

Induction Pain

Im currently 40+3 with no signs of baby. My midwife wants to talk induction, does anyone have any advice on pain levels and effectiveness from the different types? The balloon method sounds very uncomfortable, but seem preferential to the pessary as you can go home after insertion?

Navigating anxiety after baby measured small at 20wk scan

Hi everyone, i had my 20 week scan the other day. Everythings looking good but baby is on the smaller side particuarly head and tummy. I have been asked to go back in for a growth scan in 2 weeks time. I have been reassured by other people that some people do juat have smaller babies. My gp also advised i might need extra growth scans as some of my medications can impact growth but shouldnt be a big enough issue to come off the medications as that could have a bigger negative impact. Trying not to feel guilty as some people have smaller babies genetically anyway, i am jusr hoping to see reassuring progress at the next scan. Would appreciate tqlking to people who can relate
