Has anyone had or currently have PGP? Can you please tell me what it feels like for you and what you do to help it if anything can help it 😫

It feels like your hip bones are literally wonky and every move you make sends shooting pains across you hips!
I found nothing really made it better, but a good support belt and warm baths eased the pain. Also, try to move equally, so keep knees together when rolling in bed, and getting in and out the car. Don't lift one leg whole standing to put trousers or socks on, try staying seated for those kind of tasks.
It does get better straight after baby is born though x

It can present in a lot of ways - mine was a constant quite sharp pain at the front and centre of my pelvis (where baby’s head would be, roughly). If you can get to it, AMU do a pain class with their physiotherapists after 20 weeks (I think) if you call the reception they can refer you x

I had it very badly during my second pregnancy. It felt like my whole pelvis was unstable and I had horrific sciatica pain shooting down both legs as well as a grinding pain in my SI joints that was worst when I was walking but also hurt at night.

There is physio you can do, and I found the more I rested the better it was. Warm baths with lots of epsom salts were good, and a hot water bottle across my back (but not too hot, and not on your stomach). Ask your midwife to refer you to physio. Mine got some bad I couldn't walk for the last two months of my pregnancy without crutches and I wish I'd had earlier intervention to prevent it getting to that point.

I had it from 17 weeks onwards. I hate to say it but I had little to no relief with anything. Only can say it does go away as soon as bubba is here!

I did get a band off of Amazon, pregnancy ball (I could only sit on that, as sofa was too sore) which kind of eased and I ended up in crutches at 33 week until my little girl was here at 39 x

Yoga/pregnancy ball exercises helped me and a Pilates air cushion … sitting on that and doing gentle hip rocking

For me it has been sever back pain, a numb one side of my bum, not having as much strength down one leg making my walking uneven and random shooting pains. I was referred to physio and was given crutches which have helped a lot with my back pain and balance. And was given exercises. Hot water bottles on my back does help but obviously if you experiencing pain in the front you can’t use hot water bottles on bump. If it’s getting to you I would recommend asking your midwife for a physio refferal. My pain is in no means gone but it is so much more manageable with the support band and crutches x

I had to see the physio for the excruciating pain from my hips and pelvic bone, it’s a lot. I have a PDF I can share that has helped ease the pain a little, I can send it to your email if you want.

I had my anatomy scan today and found out I’m having a boy 🩵 would have been over the moon either way but I’ve been convinced for the past 2 months that it was a boy so it feels good to be right haha 🥹 anterior placenta so still not feeling many movements at this stage but he is ACTIVE! Wouldn’t stop moving and kicking at the scan 😅

Early labour or BH?

FTM 39 weeks + 2. Last night I had waves of tightening across my belly with mild period and lower back pain. Lasted a couple of hours and came sporadicly but stopped around 4 am and not happened since. Could this be early labour or just BH? I know early labour can stop and start. Had lots of BH last few days but not with any pain. Also not noticed loss of my mucus plug but baby is low and engaged.

Middle Name Inspiration

I have to register my baby in two weeks, but still haven’t decided on the middle name. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking of giving her something of a biblical meaning. But I’m open to other types of names too (just something with a nice meaning) x

Induced

I’m currently 40 weeks +3 days. I’m supposed to be getting an induction sweep tomorrow but I really feel like this is too early?! I understand that this isn’t compulsory but I was wondering if anyone has refused to be induced. If so, how far into your pregnancy were you?

Induction

So I’m being induced one the 19th of November, I’ll be 39 weeks exactly and I just wanted to hear what others have experienced with being induced. I’m being induced for a raised bmi as per request by my midwife. Just would like to know others experience since this is my first baby.
