Bed transition

When did you move your baby into their own room? My baby is now 6 months old and this morning I found him on his stomach in his next to me. He can roll both ways but hasn’t got the understanding that he can’t always roll in the direction he wants to. I worry about SIDS with him being on his stomach. I have anxiety about moving him into his own room because I can’t just look over and check he’s ok and breathing. Has anyone else experienced this and when did you move your baby into their room?

I moved my twins at17 weeks as they grew out of their next to me. If he can roll both ways he may have a front sleeping preference- my boys sleep on their fronts, a lot of babies do

We put our boy in his own room at 6mths. But I still wake to check hes breathing now. Just get a good camera so least you can check to reassure yourself xxx

Until he’s sitting up he should be okay in the next to me still. I didn’t move my daughter until about 2 months ago when she was 15 months old. She still wakes regularly in the night and would’ve been so much more exhausting for me to get up and go into her room. However we moved from the next to me, to co-sleeping

My daughter had her toddler bed around 13-14 months as she likes her space and she always kept waking up in her crib so once we moved her over to the bed (rails on ofc) she started sleeping through night just expect the child to be opposite side of bed when u wake up though 😭😂
