I am looking for some advice. My baby is 15 weeks old and he does not go down for the night till 12 o'clock.
We are doing night time routine between 7-8 pm depends on his last nap, he goes down for like 30-45 min wakes up crying, we can settle down in minutes but he does not go back to sleep till 11:30-12:00. I am nursing him 1x maybe 2x before he actually goes down. 😅
I tried to postpone the nighttime routine for 9-10 pm and get him down for one more nap; he does the same thing just going to bed at 1 am 🤦🏽♀️
During the day he also does not sleep much. Like 3 hrs in total, but since he born is the same, not sleeping much.
After he finally goes to sleep he has a good 5 hr stretch of sleep which I am very grateful for, but I really want his bedtime to be at 8-ish. Thank you.

I have actually started the routine at around 5:30 seemed soo early in my head but its working. By starting the routine i mean we are winding down. My baby is sleep regressing. Teething and constantly fighting sleep. Hes soo easy to overtiredness. Hell have a cat nap at around 16:50 and awake by 5:20 that 10 mins gets me ready to get bottles, pump breast milk. I give him a nice shower every night. Put him in his bath seat and let the shower just run on his chest and legs. He gets his last wake window kicking and playing with bath toys. I set the bedroom up. Dark room, white noise, warm room, red light. We've reintroduced a comforter and now he can associate it with sleep time. Only in the shower for 5-10 mins then when we are in the bedroom its dark and hes in warm towel. Warm sleepsuit. We go to baby massage so I give him a mini massage now and then bottle then cradle and give comforter and dummy when I see hes getting tired. Some may say its excessive but I swear its working for him.

Hey 👋 our little girl kind of ended up getting herself in a night time routine where she would start to get restless and fussy any time between 6:30-7:30. At the moment I wait for her to get to that point and then that’s when I start bedtime routine (bath, feed then put down) so it is fairly fluid what time we start. She is usually down by about 8-8:30 but is very much the same in that she will start stirring at about 10:30 but usually has a feed and straight back to sleep. From our experience, we are finding that waiting for her to show signs she is tired really works for us atm, rather than sticking to a specific time each night. Although I do appreciate that it’s now always that easy!
We found that a dim red light in the room that is on after bath/whilst getting her ready for bed and feeding really helped settle her down for sleep. Red light is good because it protects that melatonin production which signals their brain it is time to sleep. We got ours from Amazon.
Xx
He would wake up from his last nap between 5:00 and 6:00, spend some time with daddy as he gets home from work at 5:30 then bath, feed, contact nap then transfer him into the next to me. That's our routine every night. The room also has a dim light but we use blue; he seems to like it more than red, also use a white noise machine on all night.
Thank you for your reply
My 2.5 year old has always been a great sleeper but atm omgggg. Whether she naps or not, no matter the bed time shes wide awake at 3am!!!! Not crying, just babbling away. I try rock her back to sleep & have even give a bottle of milk as wonderes if shes thirsty but are we in a regression? Im shattered 🤯😮💨😭

My Lo (14m) is not really saying words, it’s mostly sounds mama, baba, gaah, cah, dada etc but won’t say words and squeals at things he points at.
He makes a few animal sounds when connecting them with a certain animal but my first was saying full words like mummy and actively pointed to 70% of her body parts when I asked
I only wonder as he has two cousins who are non-verbal and I’m slightly paranoid that it could be the issue or It is just me being paranoid…
What are signs to look out for from people with experience?

After making it this far without giving a dummy, I'm finally caving (no judgement or questions please, just personal preference). Over the last month, my girl has started sucking on 2 fingers constantly to soothe herself and she's making them red raw. 2 people have told me recently that they think she cries more than the average baby and that breaks my heart thinking she's unhappy. So hence the decision to give a dummy... but i have a few random questions. Does your baby have access to a dummy all of the time, or just when you want them to start settling down? Do you find you're constantly waking in the night to put it back in before mouth if it falls out? I don't really want her to constantly have it in her mouth, ideally just to help soothe herself for naps and sleep. I understand there's a risk she might not accept a dummy this far along but with how much she loves sucking things, I think she will. I'm also however worried about creating yet another sleep association with it, as I am already pretty guilty of feeding to sleep
