Its just me now, 1st night on my own and my 8 week old sleeps so terribly, shes always unsettled , every 40mins or so. Feeds every 3 hrs.
I cant lay in as have a 4 yr old.
I dont actually know how to cope? Im terrified. Me and my partner were doing shifts so I'd get 5 hrs undisturbed sleep. To now have to do on my own, please give me some help to get her sleeping better or how I can cope
She has reflux, wakes her up but absolutely nothing works for this, not gaviscon, not ompeprazole, tried everything.
Even when it's not reflux, she is unsettled. Although very happy in the day. Co sleeping doesnt help, she is exact same

How well does your oldest sleep?
Do you have any support network? Friends or family? Someone that can either sleep over and help or take one or both kiddies for you to get some sleep during day?
Maybe lo picked up on tensions between you and your partner?
Create a bit of a routine for baby, for example we do change bum and into pjs, story in my bed with dim light on, feed (ebf) and then bed. And if i dont stick to it then baby lets me know. My lo is 6 weeks now.
Good luck, you got this! X

My baby is 7 weeks and has reflux and is struggling she will scream most of the night and nothing will settle her. She refusing bottles because the reflux has given her a sore throat.
I would deffo get help from friends and family you need your village if you have one.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. You have 100% got this. Do reach out to people for support, if that’s something you’re able to do.
It’s okay if all you’re doing is surviving - it won’t always be like that! Take each day as it comes and you’ll hopefully fall into a pattern and your baby will sleep more and more. Reach out if you want somebody to talk to x
My little one is almost 6 months and we normally contact nap in the day (or car or pram naps) but I’d really like him to start putting him down for some naps. I can transfer him okay but he wakes up after 15 mins still tired! Any tips?

A little bit of a confession honestly 🫣 my little girl is 9 weeks and watches the tv sometimes, only really early in the morning when she’s wide awake but I’m still exhausted or before we do our bedtime bath if she’s being cranky while I do the nightly reset and get all her stuff ready, usually it’s just whatever show I’m watching at the time or sometimes Bluey
How much will it actually affect her? She’s not close to the tv and we won’t be doing screens like tablets or phones for a long long while, honestly half the time I don’t even think she’s actually watching it but it makes me feel kinda guilty

Does anyone have a parent and world facing stroller that's great on all terrains?

Hi fellow mums!
I’m a FTM and my little girl is 6 weeks old today. We are exclusively breastfeeding which has been going really well, she’s gained weight beautifully and really healthy in that department.
I know around this time they say babies hit peak fussiness, but I feel like since around 3 weeks most of her awake time she spends crying, for a while I thought maybe it was trapped gas or something like that but we always seem to be able to get that up if there is anything / I am always trying to watch her cues and ensuring she isn’t getting overtired too quickly, and this works most of the time but isn’t always easy when out and about. It always feels like I can’t soothe her or get her to sleep, she just seems to cry when I try, but my partner is able to settle her almost instantly. It makes me really sad because I feel like I can’t soothe her and as her mum I so want to be able to do that, it’s worse in the evening too.
Over the past few days she no longer likes her car seat or her pram, which is making me loose my confidence in leaving the house which is having a negative affect on my mental health, I also lost a very close family member 2 days ago so feeling very fragile at the moment and I am just looking for advice from anyone who’s a couple of weeks ahead or anyone who’s been through this before/had similar experiences. I don’t know if she’s just being extra fussy at the moment and always fighting sleep, I don’t know if she can smell my milk or if I’m doing something wrong… I just feel a bit deflated.

This is a super specific question for mamas with older kiddos. At what age did you let then have free reign in the house while you showered?
My son is 11.5 months but is fully mobile. I'm usually home alone when I shower. He gets frustrated with being kept in the bathroom with me but is also too squirmy for him to shower with me (plus I don't get in a good shower). On the flip side, I'm terrified that he'll hurt himself if I let him just wander around the house alone, even with baby gates and whatnot.
What do I doooo?

I need to vent. I’m 3 weeks post partum and my son cries sometimes and can be difficult to settle. My mother in law has been very overbearing and whenever my son cries takes him off me to settle him. It’s now got to the point the point where I’m nervous for when my son cries cos I feel everyone looks at me to settle him and when I can’t I feel embarrassed and she comes along and takes him off me. At night when my son is crying, she’ll come into the room and do the same at 3am. I feel like all I’m good for at the moment is breastfeeding him but otherwise I’d be a shit mum. I feel like she’s getting in the way of me bonding with my son and learning my sons cries and habits. I feel really sad and useless :(
