Feeling very down as I’ve fallen down the stairs this morning and unfortunately I’ve hurt my arm and shoulder. It’s definitely not broken but it’s very sore.
My husband working away and my toddlers full of cold so the TV’s been on since 7:30am this morning. Luckily she’s two and has only very recently started snuggling on the sofa with a blanket and a film. This is obviously super helpful for me on days like this but I always have the worst mum guilt as I feel like I’m using the tv as a glorified baby sitter. I have mum guilt coz you just feel like no matter what you can’t win with yourself.
I know this won’t be a big deal to everyone but it’s really got to me today 😩

No need to feel guilty! Definitely just be glad nothing more serious happened and take the rest you need/deserve. I'm sure you wouldn't shame a friend in your situation and you deserve the same grace

We are shattered today. Watching a film under a blanket with my 4yo as we speak.
If you are sat together, chatting and snuggled up that's very different to dumping them in front of the tv for it to do the babysitting.
If you told before having kids that me hurting myself would make me feel like a bad person and feel like I’m the worst mum I’d of never believed you. It’s crazy how our brains shift when you become a mum and you just put your own health at the bottom of the list over your child’s happiness and contentment.
I think it’s just going to be one of those days where I’ll be counting the hours till bedtime 😞
When did you stop night feeds, and how did you do it? My little girl is 2 and still wakes up at least 2–3 times a night for milk. It’s honestly so draining 😩 Has anyone been through the same? I’d love to hear what worked for you and how you settled them without a feed 🤍

Had a glass of wine at 7:30 instinctively fed at 10:30 without checking milk or pumping and dumping. Am I terrible or is my baby going to be fine? Also drank a lot of water in between the times and feel literally fine

My boy is 7 weeks old breast fed baby and his sleep is so scattered. He’ll have a night with 3 hour stretches of sleep in his bassinet and then other nights that he absolutely refuses it. I’m writing this post at 7am and I’ve been up since midnight because he will only sleep on me and I’m too nervous to fall asleep if he’s on me. Not looking for advice, believe me I’ve tried absolutely everything. Just looking for mamas in a similar situation to know I’m not alone.

My 1.5 month baby girl has spit up (milk as it is) after 30-45 minute post the feed time. We keep her upright and burp her for atleast 20-30 minutes after 2/3/4 oz feed. Regardless sof volume, she tends to have milk come up and sounds congested when we put her in the crib after burp.
Night have been hard as she is sometimes restless and the cycle of feed burp repeat is 1.5 hour long on repeat!
Her weight is on track and she seems happy rest of the time.
When brought up to pediatrician at 1 month, they said it’s normal as long as she isn’t fussy or uneasy throughout the night.
My MIL says this seems unusual and I think so too! Please advise if I should get a second opinion? I’m afraid she has some concerns we are able to understand yet.

This 4 month sleep ‘regression’ almost put me off having my second child because it lasted for MONTHS, almost a year actually.
I genuinely don’t think I could have a third now because I forgot how bad it actually is, it’s sent me into depression due to lack of sleep and dealing with a toddler AND breastfeeding. How long can I cope, so depressing.

I’m not sure how long I can do this.
Baby is 4 weeks and 3 days and wants the boob almost all day long (he’s already been like this almost a fortnight), during the night he settles in his next to me from about 22:00-00:00 but once he’s awake he’s feeding for over an hour (actively sucking and also comfort I think).
He’ll go back in his crib for 20-30 mins and then the cycle starts again and that’s it all night.
I feel so guilty that I’m getting frustrated but I’m shattered and don’t know how to get out of this 😞
