Stress and arguments

Hi ladies, there has been a lot of arguments at home with my husband, it’s almost every 2nd or 3rd day due to some issue or the other with the main issue being how irresponsible and timid he is in every situation we are in, be it family, work, issues with our house etc. it’s come to a point that after years of being the person who handles all issues, I am so burnt out and stressed and this has caused pretty intense fights at home, more me yelling and him promising things in vain and nothing changes.

My biggest concern is how is this impacting our baby. Does constant fights, anxiety and stress harm the baby?

I would say that being irresponsible is not good

But if he is timid by nature, you arent going to change that. Its who he is and asking him to change his very nature is quite unreasonable. Surely you knew he was timid before you had a child with him?

If he is timid and hates confrontation. He won’t change. Not everyone is actually wired that way. Maybe you’ll have to choose your battles instead? But also hard to understand what battles you facing? Because I’m timid and hates confrontation. But we don’t come across that many big issues that my partner gets burned out .

Arguments, stress and fights aren’t the best environment for a child. But also having disagreements is natural and we all have them. It’s also good for children to see parents communicate well and sort out their disagreements ❤️

Thanks appreciate it. Should have been clearer, I am 23 weeks pregnant and just worried about the baby being affected with me being constantly upset.

Sterilisation

Looking to hear about other people's experiences on sterilisation. I was sterilised on Saturday. Before I went in I was told the surgery will take roughly 30 mins and the pain would be minimal. However it took 2 and half hours and the pain has been excruciating, I'm also getting more swollen since its been done and bleeding more vaginally (but not heavily) I ended up staying in over night because my blood pressure dropped drastically, and I wasn't responding to any of the pain medication. I have no explanation for any of this, as I was moved wards pretty quickly so no one from the surgical team spoke to me afterwards, and i have only my discharge notes to go by, which state everything was normal and went well. Did anyone else end up in an unexpected amount of pain? How long did it last? I've been told I can't lift or bend for 2 weeks minimum, did anyone else manage before this?

Does your husband change your daughters diaper?

Mine avoids it and makes all kinds of excuses but he will change our son's.

Are we all ok?? 15 week old

My baby is constantly and aggressively coming off the breast even though I know she is probably hungry, everyone keeps saying she is more alert and distracted, makes absolutely no difference to be in a dark room, she also now only feeds for about 4 minutes on average per feed, so it feels like cluster feeding but also she must be frustrated, it’s just relentless. Some days she can cry for two hours, more wake ups in the night and can be awake for two hours or so at any time in the night, no pattern to it. Feeling soo drained by it all.

Combi feeding

Is anyone able to give me advice on how to do this from birth please. My first was formula only but I really want to make an attempt if I can, I just know I won’t be able to handle the whole shabang and sometimes I’m just going to need the option to just hand to my partner and say make a bottle. I absolutely do not want to touch a pump (they’re terrifying to me) so Combi is what I’m going for. TIA

First time Mum here!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday.

I am a FTM, having a boy and I am due in February! I am so so excited 🩵👩🏻‍🍼

I just want to know what are maybe 3-5 of your top favourite baby items/essentials that you have used and would use again in a heart beat. Perhaps things for your babies/yourself during pregnancy/post natal.

Thanks so much 🤰🏻👶🏻🍼xx

Anyone elses EBF baby sleep like mine 😅

Baby is 4.5 months old and our naps have always been terrible, the max she has ever napped for is 1.5 hours, but the last month her day naps have all looked like this. She won't be resettled when she wakes up and can't seem to drift off on her own....any tips on getting her to self soothe? We can't seem to soothe her in her cot at all, she just screams, or falls asleep for one minute then wakes up upset! She won't keep a dummy in either.
Some bedtimes are also taking up to six hours because of this, but if I try to reset by taking her downstairs, we start bedtime again and it could take hours again!
She also won't fall asleep in the car or buggy, only on me and occasionally being rocked with a dummy by only me or my partner😅
