Why is my body failing me?

My twins were born at 36.6 week which is a standard for twin delivery. They are now 13 days old but unable to latch or suck on my breasts. I dont know why my body isnt producing enough milk or the right flow. My babies like the bottle with easy flow now, we were not aware of natural start teets and got them the normal ones of TT . I am really struggling and crying almost everyday, not sure what is wrong. I am expressing milk 4-5 times a day 15 min each. On top of that a midwife said if they havent learned to latch yet, high chances that they wont do it at all. I really want to breastfeed my babies, any suggestions are welcome. Desperately looking for help . đŸ„ș

Have they been checked for tongue tie? 5 out of 9 of us with mt first baby’s NCT group had tongue tie including my first. There is “milk clinics” where you can go for free help and advice

If you can afford it, it is probably 100% worth your time looking at local private lactation consultants (IBCLC qualified). I got help from a great one called Lucy Webber (her social media is super helpful) who I know does offer virtual consultations but that may not be quite as helpful as someone who could see you face to face. Via the health visitor / midwife you may also be able to access a NHS feeding specialist and as above, in my area there are breastfeeding support groups where you can get advice from peer supporters. Sending lots of love - breastfeeding journeys are all different and can be so emotional

Your body is not failing you. Bf is hard work and it's ok to struggle. Especially with twins. I would definitely find a consultant to help you with it. With my first I did and it saved my bf journey. I could after this breastfeed for 2.5 years. Needing help is not failing.

My girl is 18 days old. Not latching yet but not giving up hope. Please please don’t feel your body is failing. Baby’s find it easier to feed from bottles so it’s hard to encourage them to not be ‘ lazy’ and latch and continue to latch for a whole feed. I spoke with multiple midwifes on my stay in hospital all with different scenarios of previous patients. One of them couldn’t get their baby to latch till 3 months in then breast fed for 2 years. Hold hope and give you and your body less pressure. Fed is best. however it’s done.
Sorry it’s not helpful just wanting to comment to say give yourself some love

I delivered my daughter same time as u dear so my daughter is exactly 13days old as well and we are having the same issues
.. she just seems like she cannot be bothered to try latching onto the breast and get so fussy whenever I try
what I do is put her on the breast still and whenever she starts crying my milk start flowing and then I pump
. But I still have to use a bit of formula every now and then
. She my third and only child to face this problem with as my other two babies latched on well
I keep putting her on as I am hopeful that as she gets stronger her latch will get better
come along lets do this together

Does your husband change your daughters diaper?

Mine avoids it and makes all kinds of excuses but he will change our son's.

If you found out your partner was masturbating to pictures of his ex, how would you respond?

If you've been through this please share your experience. It's been 2 years and I can't get over it. We have 2 under 2 and I'm a sahm, i feel stuck.

Are we all ok?? 15 week old

My baby is constantly and aggressively coming off the breast even though I know she is probably hungry, everyone keeps saying she is more alert and distracted, makes absolutely no difference to be in a dark room, she also now only feeds for about 4 minutes on average per feed, so it feels like cluster feeding but also she must be frustrated, it’s just relentless. Some days she can cry for two hours, more wake ups in the night and can be awake for two hours or so at any time in the night, no pattern to it. Feeling soo drained by it all.

Anyone elses EBF baby sleep like mine 😅

Baby is 4.5 months old and our naps have always been terrible, the max she has ever napped for is 1.5 hours, but the last month her day naps have all looked like this. She won't be resettled when she wakes up and can't seem to drift off on her own....any tips on getting her to self soothe? We can't seem to soothe her in her cot at all, she just screams, or falls asleep for one minute then wakes up upset! She won't keep a dummy in either.
Some bedtimes are also taking up to six hours because of this, but if I try to reset by taking her downstairs, we start bedtime again and it could take hours again!
She also won't fall asleep in the car or buggy, only on me and occasionally being rocked with a dummy by only me or my partner😅

Combi feeding

Is anyone able to give me advice on how to do this from birth please. My first was formula only but I really want to make an attempt if I can, I just know I won’t be able to handle the whole shabang and sometimes I’m just going to need the option to just hand to my partner and say make a bottle. I absolutely do not want to touch a pump (they’re terrifying to me) so Combi is what I’m going for. TIA

Stress and arguments

Hi ladies, there has been a lot of arguments at home with my husband, it’s almost every 2nd or 3rd day due to some issue or the other with the main issue being how irresponsible and timid he is in every situation we are in, be it family, work, issues with our house etc. it’s come to a point that after years of being the person who handles all issues, I am so burnt out and stressed and this has caused pretty intense fights at home, more me yelling and him promising things in vain and nothing changes.

My biggest concern is how is this impacting our baby. Does constant fights, anxiety and stress harm the baby?
